It's race week in Hamburg and as the WTS blue carpet is finally rolled out for what will be a standalone World Championship on a brand-new course just north of the city centre, Bermuda's triathlon legend Flora Duffy looks ahead to the hotly anticipated return to racing.

With the news that the Hamburg Wasser World Triathlon will now also see the 2020 World Champions crowned in the individual as well as Mixed Relay events, we hear from Germany's Justus Nieschlag, fresh from his Arena Games win and ready to tackle real racing for the first time in 12 months.

We catch up with the 2019 World Champion as she manages to remain upbeat despite the ongoing battles with Covid-induced chaos. As an athlete for whom preparation and organisation have been big parts of her success, the pervading uncertainty has proven hugely challenging but a handful of races back on the schedule have brought some much-needed focus back into life in Maryland, USA.
