What Does it Say that a "Truth Social" Juror Convicted Donald Trump on All 34 Counts?

During jury selection in Donald Trump's criminal trial in New York, some on the right, like Rep. Matt Gaetz, were celebrating - gloating even - when they learned that a gentleman designated "juror # 2" told the judge during jury selection that he gets his news from Truth Social. Matt Gaetz even tweeted, "LFG Juror #2!" Well, juror # 2, together with his 11 fellow jurors, voted unanimously to convict Trump on all 34 felony charges. And they convicted him in a New York minute - deliberating less than two days after a several-weeks-long trial. Glenn discusses the main takeaway from the fact that a so-called "Truth Social" juror found Donald Trump guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner  If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Homicide Victims' Families' Rights Act: Help for Families Who Lost a Loved One to Violent Crime

We have nearly 300,000 unsolved murders in the United States. That's 300,000 families who sit by the phone waiting for a call to come from a detective saying, "we've got a break in your loved one's case." These calls almost never come. When I retired from the Department of Justice, after decades of prosecuting murder cases in Washington, DC, I was determined to do something about that, and I proposed the Homicide Victim's Families Rights Act ("HVFRA") to Congressman Eric Swalwell, himself a former prosecutor. He heard me out and led the charge in an effort to bring long-overdue hope and help to homicide families. In 2022, the HVFRA became law, and it provides that homicide families have a legal right to require the involved police department to review the homicide investigation of their loved one and, depending on the results of the review, a full reinvestigation by a new team of detectives. We are now in the process of pushing this federal law to the states as model legislation to help homicide families in all 50 states. And we need your help - homicide families need your help. Below is a short, sample letter you can write to your state elected officials urging them to pass a state version of the HVFRA. Help bring hope - and legal rights - to homicide families in your state:Dear Senator/Representative _______________,I am writing to urge you to enact a state version of the federal Homicide Victims’ Families’ Rights Act (“HVFRA”). The HVFRA is designed to give families who lost a loved one to violent crime a legal right to have the relevant police department conduct a review of the homicide investigation once the case has grown cold and, depending on the result of the review, a full re-investigation.Homicide families sit by the phone waiting for a call from a detective saying, “we have a break in your loved one’s case.” Those calls almost never come. Homicide families deserve to have a legal right to have their loved one’s homicide investigated fully, thoroughly, and professionally, and the HVFRA gives families that right.Georgia has passed a version of the HVFRA, California is moving in that direction, and hopefully other states will soon follow suit. Please give homicide families in our state some hope that their loved one’s case will be given a review/reinvestigation to ensure that everything that can be done will be done to bring some closure and healing to families that have suffered the loss of a loved one to violent crime.Thank you for your consideration.Sincerely,----------------------------------Thank you friends. It takes a team . . . Judge Aileen Cannon Shows Her Bias

In further proof that Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon is hopelessly biased in favor of Donald Trump, Special Counsel Jack filed a motion asking Cannon to prohibit Trump from making false, violence-inducing statements that endanger FBI agents. But rather than address the obvious violence Trump poses to others, Cannon chided Smith for not "conferring" sufficiently with Trump's lawyers before filing the motion and threatening to sanction Smith. We are experiencing a criminal justice system turned on its head.In this podcast Glenn reviews Smith's filing, Trump's dangerous lies, and Cannon's absurd order.

Jack Smith Seeks 4th Gag Order for Trump's Dangerous, Violence-Inducing Lies About FBI Agents

Donald Trump is again telling dangerous, incendiary, violence-inducing lies. This time, his lies are about the FBI agents who executed the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago.In a new court filing in Trump's federal prosecution in Florida, Special Counsel Jack Smith asks Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon to modify Trump's conditions of pretrial release to include a prohibition against him making "statements that pose a significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents participating in the investigation and prosecution of this case." Smith also exposes Trump's lies about how the FBI was intending to hurt Trump's family on the day the search warrant was executed, because the FBI specifically executed the warrant at a time when neither Trump nor any of his family members were in Florida.

Donald Trump's Bronx Hate Rally Demonizes Immigrants, the Homeless, and Others

It's difficult to understand how a defendant on pre-trial release in four criminal cases is still allowed to endanger the community by holding hate rallies that inspire violence.Glenn discusses the history of Trump's dangerous and reckless rhetoric - from inspiring a significant rise in hate crimes against Asian-Americans during the COVID pandemic, to inspiring a silent attack on the US Capitol on January 6, to his most recent comments about "immigrants forming an Army" and "living in tents" in "our places."The law provides that if a defendant who is on pretrial release in a felony case presents a danger to the community, he is to be detained pending trial. And yet, Trump remains free to endanger anyone he pleases. Judge Aileen Cannon Grinds Trump's Classified Documents/Obstruction/Espionage Case to a Halt

Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon should not be presiding over Trump's federal prosecution in Florida. She has brought the case to a screeching halt by declining to resolve motions in a timely manner and by refusing to even set a trial date. Judge Cannon is NOT an honest broker of the law, and the federal law requires a judge to be removed when his/her "impartially might reasonably be questioned."Glenn reviews the latest hearing conducted by Judge Cannon which provides further evidence of her determination to slow walk the case so as to prevent a timely trial. For a step-by-step guide to how every American citizen can file a judicious complaint form demanding a fair, impartial, and independent jurist be appointed to preside over the Trump Florida case, please click on the following link: • Judge Aileen Cannon's Bias Is Showing  If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner  If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Trump Promises to Testify But Fails to Defends Himself in New York Criminal Trial

Donald Trump repeatedly and incessantly told the American people he would absolutely testify in his defense at his criminal trial in New York. But, when he had the opportunity to take the stand and tell his side of the story - Trump punked out.Glenn discusses a defendant's right to testify and a defendant's right to decline to testify. But importantly, it is the defendant's decision - not the defense attorney's decision - to make. Trump is the one who made the decisions that he should not testify and could not withstand the rigors of cross-examination. He also also discusses the burden of proof in criminal cases - beyond a reasonable doubt - and how judges define that evidentiary standard for the jurors.
