Questionable Cosplay, a Stripping Personal Trainer and Timmy Mallett #350
What time is it? It’s time for the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! We were without our beloved newsreader Dominic Byrne this week, so Pippa took over some of his duties, including reading out his letters feature. That led to a whole chat about cosplay, and how innocent it all is (or isn’t). Our visual producer, Sam, went on holiday this week as well, and 'accidentally' dyed his hair blonde/orange after a few wines. Chris then revealed that his personal trainer once was a stripper, managed by his dad! Normal stuff! Timmy Mallett joined the team for a chat, after his bike ride around the UK coastline ended, before Intern Dr Pepper (or Danny to his friends) played a game with the team, called 'Yeah!’ We finished with Pippa having a go at presenting on the station, before we said goodbye to Intern Dr Pepper with some surprise gifts.
But if that wasn’t enough….
- A run in with a Spanish Cleaner
- James’ favourite parody songs
- Pippa told us about the time she ran the London Marathon (she kept that quiet)
Enjoy!

Introducing: Restless Natives !
Hey listener, here's a podcast we think you'd like...
Restless Natives is a cult Scottish film from 1985 featuring two scallywags – The Clown & The Wolfman. It’s iconic. Two resourceful rascals who take on the ambitious task of holding-up tourist buses in the Highlands… They were Robin Hood, only Scottish and on the back of a motorbike.
Gordon Smart & Martin Compston are sampling that spirit - inspired by The Clown & The Wolfman - and distilling it into a podcast. They are setting themselves lofty ambitions before setting off in pursuit of tasks and goals they have absolutely no right achieving. A bit like their careers in TV, movies, newspapers and radio…
Join them as they recount some of their ridiculous scrapes and adventures from the past while they plan even more ambitious, unreachable schemes for the future. Some of them will be achieved and others will crash and burn spectacularly. They’ve got lots to talk about, lots to share with you and nothing but time.
As the film once said: “Is this the end of the story or a beginning of a legend?”

Shaun Williamson’s Pub Quiz, Dom’s Criminal Activities and a Dom-Related Who Are You #349
Hey there podcast fan! You’ve found the latest episode of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! This week, we kicked off with a story about our very own Dominic Byrne, and his brush with the law. Shaun Williamson, aka Barry from EastEnders, joined the show this week to present the Monday Night Pub Quiz, as Rob DJ was on his holidays. We were then visited by “Gok Wan”, who sounds VERY different to his usual self. We also quizzed our intern, Danny, on his questionable food and drinking habits. Our latest 'Who Are You’ guest then turned out to be a BIG fan of Dom, before Chris got a migraine on air, which lead to him wearing a pair of Pippa’s sunglasses, much to his dismay. We finished with a chat with Issy Panayis, and educated her all about the old ways of doing radio.
But if that wasn’t enough….
-Some fun Loch Ness merchandise
-Some shorter-than-short short shorts
-Some surreal Paul Turner jingles
Enjoy!

Daniel Mays, Barry from EastEnders, and Matt’s Farewell #348
It’s time for your weekly dose of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. We kick off with a recap of the song John Kettley Is A Weatherman, and it’s performance in last week’s Big Top 40, before actor Daniel Mays joins the team ahead of the new series of Code 404. Shaun Williamson, better know as Barry from EastEnders, was featured in Pippa’s Weekend Roundup Quiz Type Thing, for singing on stage with Sam Fender, which meant we had to get him on the show to talk about it. Shaun, that is. We didn’t speak to Sam about his experience. We delve a little deeper into what Chris can expect from Whitehaven, ahead of his visit there, followed by our latest edition of Who Are You, who turned out to be a legend of his field. Finally, we said goodbye to our sound designer, Matt Parkes-Smith, who was leaving the show to move up a floor. We therefore had to bring back some of his highlights to recreate on the show.
But if that wasn’t enough….
-Pippa’s Iconic Monday Night Pub Quiz Win
-Some More WhatsApp Messages
-A Look Back To A Team Karaoke Night

Pippa's Hen Do & Streaming Dom Sleeping in his Bedroom #347
That’s right, it’s time for another edition of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. In a very busy and weird week, we caught up with Pippa after her Hen Do, and had a little suprise waiting for her. It was the hottest day ever recorded, which lead to John Kettley, famous weatherman, featuring on the news. Cue a campaign by Chris to get A Tribe of Toffs’ 80s track, 'John Kettley Is A Weather Man', to number 1 in the iTunes chart. Timmy Mallett later joined the show to give us his latest update on his bike tour of the coast of Great Britain, before an exciting Who Are You guest that Chris knew INSTANTLY... but took Dom a little while to get. We then spoke to Issy Panayis, who presents from 4am to 6:30am every weekday, ahead of her festival trip, which lead us down the very strange path of people streaming themselves sleeping on Twitch. This gave us the opportunity to prank Dom, and set up a Twitch stream from “his bedroom” where we left him to sleep in front of thousands of people. Actually paid to sleep.
But if that wasn’t enough….
-Matt’s Big French Sausages
-Pippa’s Saucy Book
-Dom’s Magazines in Bushes
Enjoy!

James May, a new Electric Shock Machine & Dom's Wedding #346
The Chris Moyles Show On Radio X Podcast this week really is a shocker! We start off with a catch up with Dom after his WEDDING at the weekend, after which our social media team may have put out a blunder related to it. We introduce a new game called “Expert In A Day”, which includes the punishment of an electric shock machine, called an E-Stim. The whole team has a go, which produces some brilliant results. Andi Peters joins the team live from the Love Island villa, before James May talks to Chris and the team ahead of his new Prime Video travel show, however the chat is derailed quickly by Tesco self service and pub chat. Chris then drops the bombshell that he’ll be visiting Producer James’ home town of Whitehaven, as he headlines a festival there, before we give away money to someone who had to ask what Chris’ last name was.
But that’s not all….
- New WhatsApp Messages
- Will Taron Edgerton be on the show (Spoiler, no)
- Some Intimate News On Patrick Bamford

£20K Jackpot, Prof. Brian Cox & Laura Whitmore #345
Hello there podcast fans! It’s the latest edition of The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Chris was back this week, and instantly recapped Pippa’s heavy weekend. Professor Brian Cox came in to chat about the universe and we had some great questions from you! We were back playing 20 Seconds to £20K, and Dani came and played. How’d she do, do you ask? Well, we didn’t play it again for the rest of the week… Dan and Chris from Bastille joined for a chat ahead of their headline gig for the cricket tournament The Hundred. We finished the week with two Irish icons, in Laura Whitmore, who spoke about her new book, and Jason Byrne, who was in ahead of his upcoming stand up tour.
But that’s not all….
-Glastonbury Voicemails
-Fart Ninja
-A spot-on Chris Tarrant Impression

Peter Crouch, Tom Daley, and the Creepy Intern #344
It’s Toby Tarrant in for Chris this week on The Chris Moyles Show On Radio X Podcast! Peter Crouch visited the studio, and had a chat with Toby and Dom about his time as Dulwich Hamlet Director of Football, and his recent Kasabian gig cameo. Everything went wrong, from a backtiming issue, to a sponsor blunder, and a birthday mishap by Danny the Intern. In the aftermath of Glastonbury, we hear back from one of our favourite flag bearers, Rosie, as well as listening in to some of your voicemails and texts to the phone number on one of the festival flags. Toby mum makes an appearance, before we were MEANT to have Sara Pascoe on. However, we decide to play a game intended for her with Danny, which includes hot sauce as punishment. It doesn’t quite end the way Toby intended though. We were finally joined by Olympic Gold Medallist Tom Daley, ahead of his new knitwear collection.
But that’s not all….
The Siege of Weinsberg
Whistling Scrotum Syndrome

LBC’s Steve Allen, Listener Rosie at Glastonbury, and James’ Flag Prank #343
Choo Choo Podcast Listener! It’s the latest edition of the Chris Moyles Show On Radio X Podcast. Glastonbury dominated the talk of the week, as we 'gave away our final flag' to listener Megan, though not was all it seemed. With the train strikes, Producer Matt was working from home for most of the week, which produced a memorable rant about Nursery fees. We were reintroduced to our ’Sample Text Here’ flag holder, Rosie, who gave us an update before she set off for Glastonbury. We may have also helped her with getting some new Twitter followers too. LBC’s Steve Allen popped by and had a chat that ranged from bathroom reading to imaginary hamsters. We also had an update regarding an unexpected return of a celebrity guest!
But that’s not all….
? Chris LOSES at Happy Endings
? Garden Igloo drama
? Alexa comments are introduced
