After an unusually long two-month stay in Sagittarius, Mercury moves into Capricorn on January 8. Mars will be retrograde from December 6 to February 23. Mars will start its retrograde period in Leo and then move back into Cancer in early January.   This will give the next few months a sense of stalled progress or sluggish movement.
