The Chicago Blackhawks failed to score until the 3rd period, and fell behind 2-0 after 40 minutes in Toronto Monday night. Auston Matthews opened the scoring for the Maple Leafs, his first goal since returning to the Leafs lineup. Lukas Reichel got the Hawks on the board early in the 3rd period with his third goal of the season, but Chicago allowed Fraser Minten to score just 21 seconds later, a pattern that has been far too common for the Blackhawks recently. The Chicago Blackhawks were not able to cool off the suddenly red hot Columbus Blue Jackets Sunday at the United Center, falling by a score of 6-3. Connor Bedard kicked off the scoring with his 2nd goal in the last 3 games, but the Blue Jackets scored twice in the 1st period to take the lead. Craig Smith evened things up in the 2nd before Sean Monahan put Columbus back in front for good less than 2 minutes later.
