John studied and was trained in Clinical Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies, and was formerly a resident at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, Ca. A Zen Buddhist practitioner for over 30 years, John is the founder of Blue Dragon Zen Community in San Diego. John is an avid hiker and high altitude mountaineer.
