Guitarist Josh Elmore and the rest of Cattle Decapitation have been a leading force for progressive death metal and grindcore for almost the past 30 years. Forming in San Deigo, CA in 1996, the band has toured the world and released 10 studio full-lengths and many other Split/EPs/Singles along the way. Stin and Luther make up half of the Oklahoma sludge metal/noise rock band Chat Pile. Chat Pile released their debut album 'God's Country' through The Flesner in July of 2022 to critical acclaim and has been on a skyward trajectory since then. Paria bassist Dustin Treinen and guitarist John Claus have been away from the heavy music scene for some time, at least in a forward-facing position. However, after a 14-year hiatus, the band has decided to make a return. The group is back together and has released their first new single in over a decade and has plans to release an EP in 2023 hopefully. The Ismert brothers Abe, Eli, and Henry make up the progressive metal trio Hammerhedd. The band started to play music together in their childhood as young kids in 2012 playing talent shows and have since grown into late teenagers (some on the verge of breaking into their 20s) performing alongside some of metal's noticeable acts.
