Bills BAD Loss, Caleb Has HORSEPOWER, Pats Are BACK, Seahawks Don’t Have A Weakness
Colin’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down the Sunday NFL slate. They begin the Rams throttling the 49ers, and argue that Matt Stafford is playing some of the best football of his career, and that the 49ers would be smart to hang onto Mac Jones who has proved his worth (3:15). They move to the Bears win over the Giants where the arm talent of Caleb Williams was on full display and Colin argues the best descriptor for Caleb is horsepower (10:00). They agree that Vikings quarterback J.J. looks like he’s in over his head after an awful showing in their loss to the Ravens (25:00) Colin argues that the Patriots clearly looked like the better team in their win over the Bucs and have a serious debate about whether the Pats are the best team in the AFC in Mike Vrabel’s first year (36:30). Colin highlights Josh Allen having tons of time to throw, but his receivers couldn’t get open in the Bills ugly loss to the Dolphins and that the Bills could be in trouble in the AFC East with the Patriots ascending (49:30) They point to the Seahawks incredible drafting in recent years leading to a dominating, talented roster and argue there isn’t a weakness on the team. They look ahead to their upcoming game against the Rams and pick the Seahawks (55:00). They move the Colts overtime win over the Falcons in Berlin and argue the Colts won despite Daniel Jones and they won by playing throwback, old-school football (1:05:15). Finally, they pivot to college football to talk about the incredible job Kalen DeBoer has done as head coach at Alabama in returning the Tide to their usual status as a powerhouse program (1:16:45). They also give kudos to Indiana and Oregon for their big wins (1:21:00). All lines provided by hardrock.bet (Timestamps may vary based on advertisements.) They begin with the strong start for Danny’s Chicago Bears and why every Bears fan should be happy with the results 25 games into Caleb Williams career. (3:00) Colin highlights the importance of getting the quarterback right because the bottom 6-7 teams are completely unwatchable (8:00). They discuss the must-watch nature of the World Series and the watchability of postseason vs. regular season baseball and debate whether Luka’s brand combined with the Lakers could buck the trend (19:30). They give their reviews of JJ McCarthy after a huge Vikings win over the Lions and give credit to Brian Flores calling a great defense (25:00). They highlight the “feast or famine” nature of the Steelers defense that feasted on the Colts and Colin believes Aaron Rodgers looks comfortable and might return for another season (32:15). Colin explains that the Packers offense is suffering from an identity crisis after losing to the Panthers (40:15). They break down the 49ers win over the Giants and Colin argues the Giants have found their long-term quarterback in Jaxson Dart and they give props to Kyle Shanahan for keeping the Niners winning and in the mix with Mac Jones under center (51:00). Caleb IS The Bears Problem, Broncos BLOW OUT Cowboys, Trade AJ Brown? Drake Maye Is A STAR
Colin’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down all the football action. They start with the Ravens beating the Bears without Lamar Jackson and they praise the Ravens for their smart, safe gameplan and agree that the biggest problem for the Bears… is Caleb Williams… and they believe Ben Johnson could move on from the former #1 overall pick (3:30). They move to the Texans win over a beat-up 49ers team that couldn’t get pressure on CJ Stroud. Colin argues the medical staff may be the biggest issue for the 49ers who have had more players miss games than any other team in the league (14:15). They pivot to the Eagles drubbing of the Giants and debate whether the game proved the Eagles don’t need AJ Brown and should move him before the trade deadline (27:00). They heap praise on Drake Maye for his play in the Pats win over the Browns and argue he’s ascended into a top 8 quarterback in the league. They believe the Pats could win 12 or 13 games and think a trade for AJ Brown could be in order (35:30). They move to the Denver Broncos drubbing the Dallas Cowboys and Colin argues that Sean Payton used the Cowboys leaky defense to unleash Bo Nix (48:00). They highlight a very weak 2026 college quarterback draft class (56:00) and argue Brian Kelly’s time at LSU is likely over. Prime Cuts - MASSIVE NBA Gambling Scandal, Ohtani The Greatest Athlete Ever? Broncos INSANE 4Q Comeback
Colin’s top takes of the week. First, Colin is joined by Danny Parkins, host of “First Things First” on FS1. They dive straight into the MASSIVE gambling & match fixing scheme that ended in the arrest of Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier and Damon Jones. They call it the “NBA’s Pete Rose” moment, and Danny argues Chauncey should be thrown out of the Hall of Fame if the allegations prove to be true (3:00). They discuss the world of underground gambling & the history of the intersection of the mafia, gambling and sports and Danny explains why the level of regulation in legal betting is what caused the players to be caught tanking their player props (11:00). They argue that these types of scandals will happen as long as the leagues are in bed with the sportsbook, but there’s no going back with the huge money involved, and it’s better to have props monitored and regulated rather than move underground. Danny argues that there’s a solid case to outlaw “under” player props (16:00). They also recount Victor Wembanyama’s absolutely insane 40 point performance against the best frontline in the league and debate whether he’s already the best player in the league at 21 years old (26:00). Then, Colin is joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down the absolutely insane 4th quarter comeback for the Denver Broncos over the New York Giants (35:15), debate whether the Chiefs have regained their status as the best team in the NFL (47:45) and Colin argues that Shohei Ohtani is the greatest athlete EVER (53:00).
