Mony Nop, a survivor of the Killing Fields of Cambodia, immigrated to the U.S with his family at the age of 6. He became a police officer and served in Livermore for 17 years before retiring from law enforcement to establish his own real estate business 14 years ago.
He is the co-founder of Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, focused on supporting local nonprofits by collaborating and sharing resources to continue growing their mission. Mony also became a children’s book author, “Officer M.N.O.P and Me—How Police Officers Serve the Community, On and Off Duty.”
A former Mayoral Candidate in the City of Livermore and now known as the #GivingbackRealtor, Mony has been featured in CBS Early Show, ABC Extreme Make Over--Home Edition and he has been awarded the Good Neighbors Award from Bay East Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. In 2018, Mony received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award and the St. Mary’s College Meritorious Service Awards in 2019.

Dave Lu is a veteran in the technology industry, having worked for over two decades at big tech companies including Yahoo!, Apple Cisco and eBay and founding two startups. In 2005, he bootstrapped his first company Fanpop, a user-generated community site for entertainment fans, to over 40 million monthly users. After Fanpop, he ran marketing for Luxe, a two-sided marketplace for on-demand valets. He leveraged his experience to launch his second startup, Pared, a restaurant enterprise software business. In 2011, Dave created a community called Asian American Founders Circle which has grown to over 300 founders including Tony Xu (DoorDash), Steve Chen (YouTube), Kevin Lin (Twitch) and many others. AAFC inspired the launch of Hyphen Capital, a syndicate focused on investing in AAPI founders that has invested in over 50 startups since launching in fall of 2020. He most recently started a movement with a letter condemning hate crimes against Asians which he wrote that was signed by over 1,000 prominent business leaders and was published as a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal. Now with over 8,000 signatures it has led to the launch of Stand with Asian Americans. Dave received his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Shawn is a proud Chinese-American immigrant who grew up in the Los Angeles area and an alumnus of UC Berkeley. During his senior year, he joined his college friends to start a daily deals company called Munch On Me (YC class of S11) and dove into the tech startup industry. He later co-founded a food delivery company, Caviar, in early 2012. Caviar was later acquired by Square, now a public company, in 2014 and then acquired again by DoorDash in 2019. He is currently a Co-Founder and General Partner of Beluga Capital and LUNAtic Capital, a tech investment syndicate and crypto-focused fund, respectively. He is also currently an advisor to a few tech startups and a part-time advisor at The House Fund. Besides tech, Shawn is the founding partner of Umai Hospitality Group, a restaurant group investing in major franchises like The Halal Guys and Bonchon Fried Chicken, along with local brands like Rooster and Rice.

Stella Han is the co-founder and CEO of Fractional, the first social platform for fractional ownership of real estate. Lisa Ling is the executive producer and host of the upcoming series “Take Out with Lisa Ling” for HBO Max, an exploration of Asian American history through the lens of delicious Asian food which has become so ubiquitous in the U.S. She is also the executive producer and host of “This is Life” on CNN, already at work on its ninth season for 2022. For the series, Ling has embedded with a notorious biker club and explored the medicinal use of psychedelics in psychotherapy.
Prior to joining CNN, Ling executive produced and hosted “Our America” on OWN for five seasons. She was also a field correspondent for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and a contributor to ABC News’ “Nightline.” For these shows she reported from dozens of countries; covering stories about gang rape in the Congo, bride burning in India, and the Lord Resistance Army in Uganda, among other issues that are too often ignored.

In 2017, Vivian Shen founded Juni Learning, an online education platform for 7-18-year-olds, to be the educational opportunity she wished she had growing up. As a kid, Vivian had an interest in courses her school didn’t offer. When learning to code, Vivian remembers feeling insecure and learned best in personalized settings compared to lecture style. Kristi Yamaguchi captured the gold medal in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France in figure skating. She is also a 2-time World champion and U.S. National Champion. Kristi is a member of the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame, World Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the US Olympic Hall of Fame. She recently received the USOPC’s Jesse Owens Olympic Spirit Award for “serving as a powerful force for good in society” as well as the 2019 Heisman Humanitarian Award for the work of her Always Dream organization. Following a long and successful career in professional figure skating including 10 years of touring with Stars On Ice, Kristi took to the dance floor to win the mirror ball trophy with partner Mark Ballas in season 6 of the popular TV show “Dancing With The Stars.” In 1996, she founded Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream whose mission is to give children from low income families access to high quality books in the home environment. Born in Columbus, Ohio to Korean immigrant parents, May Lee is an award-winning broadcast journalist, host of “The May Lee Show,” adjunct professor at USC, and founder of Lotus Media House who has been both a US-based and international anchor, host, correspondent and producer.
Familiar with being the outsider, "otherized" by a predominantly white community, May was introduced to racism at a young age. This fueled her to become a prominent voice in the effort to combat anti-Asian hate that exploded due to COVID-19. At the start of 2020, May’s production company, Lotus Media House, partnered with NextShark, the leading Asian online news source, to launch “The May Lee Show”, Each episode May sits down with the most impactful and relevant Asians in the U.S. and around the world who are boldly enhancing and elevating Asian voices and issues.

Mayly Tao is LA’s self-proclaimed Donut Princess, owner of Donut Princess Los Angeles, a donut bouquet delivery concept. She is the host of her podcast Short N’ Sweet: A Donut Princess Podcast where she explores mindset, women empowerment, and small business tips! You can find her ”Securing the Box” at @donutprincessla. She stars in the Donut King Documentary, as seen on Hulu and across domestic flights across the US. She also has her own YouTube where she visits Cambodian-owned donut shops and highlights their stories. She hopes to elevate Asian American voices and representation and vows to create a legacy for the next generation of Asian Americans.
Mayly Tao is a Khmer, Thai, and Teochew Chinese Asian American born to Khmer refugee parents who arrived in America to start a new life. Her uncle, Ted Ngoy, sponsored hundreds of Cambodians to come to America and helped them manage and own their own donut shops. She is mostly known for coming back and helping her parents successfully revamp their family business through social media and branding. She recently sold her family’s bakery after her mom decided to retire after celebrating 40 years in business at DK's Donuts & Bakery in Santa Monica, CA.
Her focus on helping people and making an impact has gravitated her towards creating new business as a serial entrepreneur. She successfully launched her new luxury car rental business, "Donut Exotics," in Summer 2021. Her plans for 2022 is to become a life agent to help families find life insurance, a mobile home-care business, and a liquid IV business.
