The Board Boys Podcast

Early March in Iowa is the perfect time to dream about trading in the Mediterranean. The sounds of the ocean breeze and daydreaming about silk, wine, tools and bricks, beautiful, beautiful bricks, really keeps the mind at ease. This week the Board Boys ventured east in search of trading routes, silk and prosperity in Concordia. Also this episode: Josh gets gassed, Ben attends his very first bored game convention, Rob ascends to new heights and Campbell divulges his approach to life.

What is that in the sky? It's a bird ... it's a plane ... wait, it's actually a bird! Wingspan is flying into homes and FLGS everywhere TODAY! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by doing a BONUS Board Boys Birdcast all about the Indigo Bunting, Spotted Sandpiper, BlackBellied Whistling-Duck, Canada Goose, Turkey Vulture, Bewick's Wren, American Coot, Yellow-Breasted Chat, Chimney Swift, Peregrine Falcon, Barn Swallow and all our other favorite types of birds.

That's great, it starts with a board game. Wood, gold and corn or maize, Board Boy Cam is not afraid. This week your favorite boys are back to spin the gears, earn the gods' favor and feed their people in Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar. Each board boy put up their personal best, but only won could emerge victorious. Also in this episode: Josh drops some professional knowledge, Campbell describes his leak, Ben makes a joke and Rob introduces the world to another new member of The Board Boys Podcast.

A NEW PLAYER HAS ENTERED THE GAME. Wait ... two new players have entered the game? Wild. This week your favorite board boys are joined by two new hostesses with the mostesses, Board Boys Rob and Ben to strategize, negotiate and participate in epic battles in Rising Sun from CMON games. Also in the episode: Campbell talks about his friend Larry Bird (seriously), Josh finds his true calling as a stadium announcer, Ben battles the machines and Rob divulges his card playing skills. Things get really, really weird in Italy this episode. The Board Boys were joined by their favorite Bradley, Bradley Turk to assume the role of Florentine Princes in Princes of Florence. The boys bid, built and made the magic to create the best villas in all the land. Also in this episode: Brad drops knowledge on his favorite diet soda, Josh digs through some trash, Campbell asks the tough questions and Frank takes New Jersey.

When the world is overrun by airborne viruses, when the fate of humankind is at stake, who is on the case? No you dummy, not Panda Mike! It's your favorite Boys (The Board Boys) and this time they're curing diseases all William Nilliam with their dude Brad "BJ" Mickle in Pandemic! Also: Josh tests Frank's editing prowess with some nasty cusses. Cam discusses which herbal tea he is without taking a Buzzfeed quiz. BJ tackles a fast food giant. Frank makes A Big Announcement.

Uhhh Doc? I hope The Board Boys have enough road to hit 88 mph... Fortunately, where they're going with honorary Board Boy Ben, they don't need roads! Join all four of the boys in this time-travel filled experiment of an episode as they blast into the past for 7 Wonders! Also: Frank gets to pull a Borat on someone new. Josh confuses a Nickelodeon host with a comic book mutant. Ben did not bring a copy of the Shark Tank board game. Cam gets new fruity, gummi nipples.

What's the theme in this one? Knights, Europe, yadda yadda yadda... As you've almost certainly guessed based off of those clues, your Most Favorite Boys played their cards right and got their dude Kyle Foote to join them to play Dominion! Also: Cam (finally) forgives a decade-old Monopoly transgression. Josh finally gets a song out of his head. Kyle requests your Christmas presence. Frank paints a happy little tree.

Life is like a hurricane, here in Des Moines. Bread and cheese is so insane, for the Board Boys. Might brew some whiskey, Kelly Bevins is tricksy! Happy Franksgiving! We played Clans of Caledonia, and one of us traversed the Scottish lochs BEST and took home the W. Also: Josh has one of those days where he don't wanna wake up. Bevins accidentally is Russian. Frank didn't play any board games (but he played Skyrim). Cam is obsessed with a certain wealthy Scottish anthropomorphic duck (No spoilers!)
