We are actually in South Africa this week after some newsworthy M&A there involving the Luno exchange and DCG. Our guest is Chris Becker, Blockchain Technologies Lead at Investec based out of Johannesburg. Investec is a commercial and investment bank with a significant presence in South Africa, and Chris started their blockchain practice in 2016 - he talks about Bitcoin in South Africa in that time frame, DCG’s acquisition of Luno, the landscape of Bitcoin companies in SA and trends he sees in adoption there.
