Top Insider Tips on Branding and Social Media
In today's show, John presents his interview with Dr. Dana Corriel from Doctors on Social Media which he recorded a few years ago. The information she provides regarding branding and social media is as true today as it was when we recorded the session. These principles will be helpful in at least two ways: First, they apply to promote any current or future business you may be involved with as an owner or an advisor. Second, the principles also apply to promoting yourself as a candidate to a clinical practice, corporation, or nonprofit, whether as an employee or a board member. What Is the Best Way to Generate Income and Create Wealth?
In this week's show, John answers this question: what is the best way to generate income and create wealth? It's an important question. Clinicians sometimes limit their options when addressing their dissatisfaction with the stress and burnout of working in the current healthcare system. The most obvious choice is to find employment in a nonclinical position that is less stressful. It's a valid option that usually solves the burnout problem with a career that pays well and improves work-life balance. But an often more life-changing answer is to pause and answer this question: how can I generate income and create generational wealth as part of my transition away from day-to-day patient care? One of the answers John provides is to become a business owner. However, successful business ownership can be a high-stakes endeavor that takes more time than a simple career pivot and requires sizable cash investment. So, John explains how to reduce both the risk and the timetable for becoming a business owner in today's presentation. Why Hospital Leadership Jobs Are Both Challenging and Rewarding
In April of this year, NewScript presented its 2023 Nonclinical Career Summit. The Summit consisted of 12 LIVE lectures and Q&A over 3 evenings. The speakers were fantastic, spending 50 minutes addressing topics from preparing for career transition, to specific nontraditional careers. My presentation covered the topic of Hospital Leadership Jobs. Today's podcast is an excerpt of the first 25 minutes of that presentation. It covers the following topics: my journey from full-time family physician to hospital CMO, why hospital leadership is a great career, which areas to start as medical director, the salary to expect and how to find salaries of others working in nonprofit hospitals, answer the question, does your specialty matter?, and, the five areas in which to develop new skills. The episode closes with an invitation to purchase access to all twelve of the lectures presented at the 2023 Nonclinical Career Summit by going to nonclinicalcareersummit.com You will find all of the links mentioned in the episode at nonclinicalphysicians.com/hospital-leadership-jobs/ =============== You can support this podcast by making a small monthly or annual donation.
