This is the last parable of Jesus in the book of Mark before the beginning of his journey to the cross.
The parable is about a master assigning tasks to his servants while he is away from his house. The parable warns that the master, Jesus, will be returning unexpectedly and the need for us, the stewards, to remain watchful for his return.
As we look at this parable, we discuss some causes of complacency and also how we can avoid this as we continue in our stewardship.
