We read the Scriptures differently when we have this lens. At the Mount of Transfiguration, we read about Moses and Elijah meeting with Jesus. This was not a New Testament vs. Old Testament conversation! The early church didn’t have this concept. In the Hebrew mind, Moses represents Torah, and Elijah represents the prophets. It shows the unity of the whole Scriptures, and Jesus being the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets. David highlights that when Jesus was on the earth, the people often struggled to get past His humanity and see His divinity, but in today’s world we have the opposite struggle.
