Nurses get on with their jobs in extreme covid circumstances

"The real trauma will come once it's all over" - Nurse Shaye Candish, Assistant General Secretary of the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA). Nurses are working in some of the toughest conditions thanks to Covid-19. Women's economic security is an issue that has been drawn into sharp focus during the COVID19 pandemic.The intractable pay disparity that still exists is just the start of it. Across the world right now, there are over 250,000 seafarers who are trapped on ships that can't dock in ports and allow crews to disembark to put their feet on solid ground.It's just another tragic consequence of the global COVID 19 Pandemic .
