Today on the podcast I am speaking with Ben Atkinson.Ben is unique in his perspective having both a formal qualification in nutrition as well as training and an appreciation for functional and lifestyle medicine. Ben is a nutritionist with the core belief that a holistic and functional approach to health is fundamental to optimal well-being. He has held research and science communications posts at health institutes and charities, always aiming to empower individuals to take control of their health by increasing access to and understanding of health information.Ben now hosts the Functional Health Podcast and is setting up a platform to promote the integration of allied health professionals.Functional medicine practitioners, nutritional therapists, nutritionists, dietitians and CAM professionals all provide unique perspectives on patient-derived treatment protocols. #38 Cooking for the World's Best Athletes with Dan Churchill

As part of my trip to launch my new book ' Eat to Beat Illness'  in the US, I caught up with Michelin star Chef, David Bouley. Let me tell you about why this man is so special!In 1987, Chef David Bouley opened his own restaurant, Bouley, in TriBeCa. This week on the podcast I'm chatting to Meik Wiking - who founded the world's first Happiness Research Institute in 2011, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He consults cities, governments and organisations around the world on happiness. He has advised the Minister of State for Happiness in the UAE, the state of Jalisco in Mexico and the city of Goyang in South Korea, among others. He holds a degree in business and political science and has previously worked for the Danish Ministry of Foreign AffairsHappy memories are representative of connections and undoubtedly related to human health. #31 Root to Stem with Alex Laird

Today I’m speaking with medical herbalist and author of “Root to Stem” Alex Laird.
