Happy Thanksgiving! Fr. Dave and Dcn. Bob are grateful to be back “home” in the studio as they discuss sports, Christmas shopping, the perfect Thanksgiving, finding hope in tragedy, and the removal of Bishop Strickland. The only topic they didn’t discuss? This is their 150th episode!

Fr. Dave is sick in Steubenville, and Dcn. Bob is loving it in London!  In addition to their usual sports commentary (congratulations to the Texas Rangers), they share what they love about the theater.

Fr. Dave calls in from Austria! He and Dcn. Bob talk about the MLB playoffs and other sports, first cell phones, the deaths of Matthew Perry and Adam Johnson, the Maine shootings, and the conclusion of the Synod on Synodality.

Dcn. Bob was in Tampa last weekend to watch two of his favorite teams lose. He and Fr. Dave talked about the MLB playoffs, rugby (for way too long), the start of the NBA season, Franciscan’s offer for Jewish students, and the ongoing Synod on Synodality.

Fr. Dave had a tough football week with Notre Dame’s close loss and the pummeling of the Denver Broncos.  He and Dcn. Bob discuss other sports, running shoes, life in the friary, prayers for the dead, and the upcoming Synod.

Dcn. Bob got to baptize his grandson, Peter!  He and Fr. Dave discuss the NFL, Notre Dame, baseball, the graces of baptism, different perspectives on the Synod on Synodality, and how we can be united in the Church’s mission.
