E55: Why It's So Important to Share Your Truth—And How to Do It Safely in 3 Steps
In today's episode, I talk about the second step in my "Jump . . . And Your Life Will Appear" book and coaching program: tell the truth to someone safe. When we withhold a secret or a difficult truth, it turns us into a human pressure cooker. But when you share that truth with another person, it's like hitting the "release" button. It lets the steam out. The trick, of course, is to share that truth safely with someone you trust. Listen in to learn how to have that conversation in a way that lets the other person know how you want to be received. Trust me on this one: sharing your truth in this way can be a freeing and life-changing conversation if you do it right.

Do you want to keep everybody happy all the time? Do you blame yourself for things that aren't your fault? Take on more tasks than you can handle? If so, you might be a people pleaser—and today's episode is for you. Here's the first thing to know: people pleasing tendencies are often a symptom of a deeper issue, such as issues with self-worth or setting boundaries. But when you put others first, you end up putting your worth and value in the hands of someone else. There is a solution, though, and it's found in learning to set and hold healthy boundaries. Listen in to learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of your people pleasing behavior, and how to start the healing process.

E53: Where Does Your Sense of Self-Worth Come From? Reframing Mistakes, Collaboration, and Criticism
In today's episode, I explore the topics of mistakes, collaboration, and self-worth. As a former people pleaser, I used to be a perfectionist. Maybe you can relate. And as a perfectionist, my sense of self-worth was wrapped up in my achievements. It was so bad that at one point, as the Event Director at Hay House, my team gave me a nickname: Bru (short for Brujita), which means "little witch" in Spanish. The reason why? Because I allowed no room for error in my team. It took me years to realize that making mistakes and asking for help doesn't make you less of a person. And when you can figure out how to learn from your mistakes and accept the help of others, it takes a ton of weight off your shoulders and frees you to be a happier person.

E49: F the Shoulds and Do the Wants with Tricia Huffman
Do you ever feel overwhelmed or even oppressed by all the "shoulds" in your life? You should order the salad, you should work out today, you should work late on that project, you should clean the house, you should, you should, you should. Well, according to today's guest—rock-and-roll roadie turned "joyologist" Tricia Huffman—all those "shoulds" are causing nothing but mayhem and misery in our lives. E48: Going Beyond Food & Diet for True Inner Well-Being with Kimberly Snyder
When most of us think about wellness, we automatically go to the physical. The tangible. Things like food. Are you getting enough riboflavin? Are you getting enough omega-3 fatty acids? And that's important, sure. But many people end up focusing on minutiae to the point that they neglect the most important formless cornerstones of health: emotional well-being, mental health, spiritual growth. In today's conversation, I talk with nutritionist and New York Times best-selling author Kimberly Snyder about how we can do a better job of nourishing ourselves in all the most important ways—physical and nonphysical—to lead happier, more joyous lives.

E47: The Big Myth About Life Coaching
Many people assume the job of a life coach is to give advice. But there's a problem with this approach. One of the fundamentals of any coaching relationship is that the client is always the expert on themselves. This means that the coach can't just show up with all the answers. Instead, their real job is to help guide the client to find their own inner wisdom and hold them accountable to the commitment they've made to themselves. In today's episode, Nancy dives into this topic and explains how to approach coaching sessions in a way that leads to better results that are more consistent with the client's beliefs and goals.

E46: From Heroin Overdose to World-Traveling Digital Nomad with Francis Nayan
Francis Nayan has a pretty incredible story. From the age of seven, he always knew he wanted to travel and see the world. But when he fell into a heroin addiction that led to an overdose, he felt as if all his dreams would never be more than that—dreams. But he managed to bounce back from rock bottom and reinvent himself as a world-traveling digital nomad. I think we can all take lessons from his story, like the importance of being open to change, setting firm boundaries with clients, and forgiving ourselves over past mistakes.
