Fred gives us a unique look behind the scenes of how the Super Bowl is made as we pick his brain on everything from how much prep time goes into the event to how many careras are used on game day.  We also fit in some conversations about Fred's current gig as producer of Thursday Night Football with Amazon and get to hear his prediction on who's going to win this Sunday.  

Been a while since we've talked to Mr. Olczyk as Eddie hops on the show today to start the week off with Bob and John. The three talk to Eddie about the Chicago Blackhawks and their deadline plans regarding Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane before shifting focus to the Seattle Kraken and then the rest of the NHL for todays podcast

Darren Pang joins the show today to end off the week with some hockey talk ahead of this weekends All-Star festivities. The three get into a conversation about the progression of the Seattle Kraken and praise the job GM Ron Francis has done so far for the NHL's newest franchise before shifting the conversation to the NHL trade deadline as we speculate on what could happen to players like John Tavares and Patrick Kane to name a few.

Former Manager of the Toronto Blue Jays and friend of the show, John Gibbons joins the show today to catch up with Bob and John. The three spend some time talking about the fast approaching start date of MLB's Spring Training. John lets us know what a normal day in the life of a Big Leaguer would be like at this time of year before getting an update on his employment status and some Jays talk to end the show.

With the NHL Trade Deadline fast approaching, we bring on Brian Lawton to give us a run down on everything we need to know. The three talk about the deal that sent Cannucks Captain Bo Horvat from Vancouver to the New York Islanders and then we pick the former GM's brain on some of the details of the trade deadline that an average joe might not already know. 

Two for the price of one on todays podcast! For the first half of the show, Bob and John talk to the President of Hockey Operations of the Columbus Blue Jackets, John Davidson. We talk to John about his teams performance so far this season, the amount of injuries the team has sustained throughout the hear and hear his philosophy on "tanking" for a high draft pick before welcoming William Mao onto the show. With William - the Senior Vice President of Octagon - we talk about the rising prices of Super Bowl tickets and the future of Cable Sports Networks as we discuss the rising prices of broadcast rights and the dimminishing amount of consumers.

Executive Director of the NHL Alumni and good friend, Glenn Healy joins the show to cacth up with Bob and John. The three talk about the meetings taking place in Florida this week with the NHL, the leagues All-Star weekend and why Glenn thinks it is so important for the game before the break. When we come back, we have a conversation about the late Bobby Hull and the impact he had on the league before asking Glenn about his opinion on "tanking" and if he has ever been apart of a team who has intentially lost games.

Day two without Shannon as Bob and Richard welcome Doug Smith onto the show for a much needed update on the Toronto Raptors ahead of their Friday night game against the Golden State Warriors. With trade rumours swirling and the deadline only 10 days away, the three spend most of their time discussing the trade possibilities the Raptors may have. Do they trade OG or Fred before the deadline? or wait until the off-season? We try to figure out just where this teams front office could be at as we assess the team heading into the final stages of the regular season.

With Shannon out on “assignment” for the next two days, Richard Deitsch will be subbing in to take his place next to Bob.    No need for a guest today as Bob and Richard open up a conversation about the outlook of sports talk radio in the country and its future as a consistent media to consume sports. With Podcasting fast becoming the new standard, the two wonder how sustainable sports talk radio is as they look back at their experience at Sportsnet and compare the differences in how sports radio was advertised then to now. As sustainability dwindles when it comes to radio programs, Bob and Richard discuss the options sports talk radio has and whether it’s possible to make money off of the medium in the future.

We are weeks away from the start of spring training so it’s only fitting if we bring on our friend, Shi Davidi. The spend their time today talking about the Toronto Blue Jays. We address their roster concerns and needs as we try to figure out who will be suiting up in both the 3rd base and Shortstop positions on MLB’s opening day in March. We also talk about the status of some of their top level prospects and wonder if the team will be able to retain Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette once they hit free agency.
