At one time, the state of California was known as the state which was populated by those seeking independence, freedom, and the opportunity to think differently. California grew to the largest state in the nation and at the same time has the fifth largest economy in the world, just behind Japan and ahead of the United Kingdom. Since the late 1990s when Democrat Gray Davis wrecked California with his progressive policies, California has fallen into a virtual ditch. Slightly recovering under the brief Governorship of Arnold Schwarzenneger, the state slipped into near dystopian dysfunction under the control of Gov. Jerry Brown and Gov. Gavin Newsom. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Larry Elder is running to become the next Governor of California, and with a Newsom recall, is likely to win. And thus, a once hard blue state, the largest blue state in America, could turn deep red. However, California also has one of the worst records of voter fraud of any state in the nation. If Larry Elder wins as Governor, California could quickly move so far to the conservative side that only Florida and South Carolina could be considered more conservative. An Elder win would mean that California, Texas, and Florida - the three most populous states in America - would have conservative leadership. This last week has seen denunciations from all sides of the political spectrum over the alleged disastrous and deadly bungling of the withdrawal of the United States Military from Afghanistan. Criticism from world leaders such as Blair, Merkel, Macron and others have elucidated that world’s opinion that the United States has failed in Afghanistan. At first glance, it may appear that somehow the most advanced intelligence and the greatest fighting force that the world has ever known was asleep at the wheel. At closer inspection, it appears that the Biden administration, who has successfully deconstructed the United States in just 8 months, is effectively employing critical social justice - on a global scale - in Afghanistan. On Monday, August 23rd, President Joe Biden announced that the FDA had officially approved the Pfizer Covid vaccine in what was the fastest approval time for a drug in U.S. history. Was this approval hurried so quickly because the actual research and science was done or was it done for political purposes? Did the FDA go through the thorough, painstaking process to place the Pfizer vaccine through the studies that it has done in the past for full approval? An article in the prestigious British Journal of Medicine believes that normative procedures were skipped and questions have gone unasked and unanswered in the blazingly fast process to approve the Pfizer vaccine, even bringing to light that the former FDA Chief under the Trump Administration, Scott Gottlieb, currently serves on Pfizer’s Board of Directors. Since February of 2020, the world has been told what to think, how to behave, and what to do in regards to responding to what was first referred to as the “Wuhan Virus” by mainstream media and was eventually mandated as Covid-19. We were told that we could not speculate on the virus’ origins, we could not take certain therapies, and we could not question the wisdom of the draconian policies of the CDC and local public health officials.  At what point did we engage in national debate? When discussing visions of the dystopian future that we are transitioning into, we immediately think of the two novels from Orwell and Huxley, “1984” and “Brave New World” that provide contrasting visions of a liberty-less future for humanity. We may also think of H.G. Wells and his “The Shape of Things to Come” as well as his non-fiction future casting works, “The Global Brain,” “The Open Conspiracy” and “The New World Order.” Each of Wells’s works was the result of not only his thoughts, but also the thoughts and strategies of those who existed within the influence of the Fabian Society and other technocratic-minded think tanks. We have all experienced the time when we picked up a puppy from a kennel or a shelter and brought them into our homes. Early on, we convinced ourselves that we could train our new dog to not make a mess, to not jump on strangers, and to not chew our shoes. But sooner or later we realized that we needed help to get our dog in line and the best possible way of expediting the transition from a disobedient pet to an obedient pet was professional obedience training. Through obedience training we could be assured that our dogs old behaviors and habits could be changed through stern authoritarianism. As the United States and our ineffective leadership bungles another withdrawal from a foreign land that it has been occupying for the last 20 years, one thing is certain: America will invite all that are willing to come to the United States to our shores. The United States has been both "invading" nations and then "inviting" all comers from those nations to come to America. This past week signaled the beginning of an American tradition, the cheery notice that fall is about to begin: NFL football has started their preseason. While the new NFL season would normally bring communities together to support their local or regional teams, instead the NFL has been practicing full-blow critical race theory and deconstructionism within the league. This past month, the NFL announced that it would begin playing the “Black National Anthem” - a move that is strategically purposed to create disunity in our nation. As the NFL has made their choice to become the “Critical Race Football League,” men and women who value the liberties afforded to them in the constitution should consider ending their support for a league that has chosen Neo-Marxism over the constitution of the United States of America. The nation lived through the threat of and consequences of terror in the early years of the twenty first century. And while the citizens of the United States desired safety and security, they also wanted to ensure that we “went back to normal” as quickly as possible. That is how we dealt with terror twenty years ago, but it isn’t the way that we have dealt with terror in 2021. The citizens of the United States allowed their lives to be disrupted, allowed our futures to be thrown into disarray and somehow along the way gave up our personal rights and responsibilities.
