13. Interview: Dr. Debashish Banerji on Philosophy, Yoga, the Vedas, and the Mystics of India

In this episode I have an interview with a special guest: the great scholar of Indian philosophy Dr. Debashish Banerji. In this wide-ranging discussion, we discuss the esoteric philosophies of 19th century Indian mystics Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, and Sri Aurobindo. We also discuss the basic spiritual cosmology of ancient Indian philosophy (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva), before heading into a discussion of the ancient Indian tradition of the "Arya". My computer was battling with internet connectivity issues throughout so there are many audio blips. I did my best to edit around them: I hope you stick with it, because there's a lot of really good material contained within. YouTube version: https://youtu.be/n2DhiwxT27gThank you very much to Dr. Banerji for joining me! Here's a link to his site: https://debashishbanerji.comMake sure you also find his excellent interviews of Dr. Jeffrey Mishlove on New Thinking Allowed (findable on YouTube). Thanks for tuning in and I'll be back soon. - AlexSend us a text

12. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a Treatment for COVID | an Interview with Dr. Xiaoyan Wang

Hey folks, in today's episode I have an interview with a special guest: Dr. Xiaoyan Wang, a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practicing in Richmond, Virginia. In this episode, we talk about the fundamentals of TCM, how it diagnoses and treats illness, and how its approach differs from the drug-based approach of Western medicine . Importantly we also discuss the fact that TCM has been used to great effect in treating patients with COVID-related illnesses. Most people today - in the US and elsewhere - are incorrectly taught to believe that there are no treatments available for COVID illness. Consequently, most believe that if you get ill, there's nothing that can be done for you unless you're brought into a hospital and put on a ventilator. Despite this widespread view, the truth is that there are several early to mid-stage treatments for COVID that have proven to be effective. In the alternative media in the West, we are seeing widespread reports that Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin are two drugs that have shown to be effective, but we've heard little about TCM as a third major form of treatment. Many, many people have used TCM to use successfully treat COVID illness (my roommate being one of them) and in this episode we are going to delve into the basic ideas behind how it works. Thanks for watching! - AlexYouTube link: https://youtu.be/CvvpOTuZfUcDr. Wang's site: http://www.acupuncturistwang.com/Send us a text
