Killer Queens: A Light True Crime Podcast | QCODE
Killer Queens is a personality-driven true crime show hosted by two millennial besties who bring their research, realness, and 90s nostalgia to every case. Whether we’re decoding cold cases or dragging sketchy investigations, we bring empathy, chaos, and a few too many Friends references. 343: The Liske Family Massacre
On Halloween weekend in 2010, the Liske family enjoyed hunting and a neighborhood get-together before the Trick-Or-Treat festivities were to begin. But when 16-year-old, Devon, realized that something was wrong after returning home from his church choir concert, he went to his parents’ bedroom to see if they were there. He walked in and thought they were pulling an elaborate Halloween prank on him when he saw them lying in bed with blood on their sheets. However, he quickly learned that it wasn’t a prank and someone had killed his parents. Unfortunately, his parents weren’t the only family members murdered in their home. His older brother, Derek, was later found dead in his bedroom as well. Want access to our first 45 episodes? Grab em here! We've made them available for free to anyone who signs up! 340: The Murder of Becky Bliefnick (The Family Feud Murder)
In February of 2023, 41 year old Becky Bliefnick hadn’t been heard from when it was time for her to pick up her children from school. Her ex-husband, Tim, was notified about the boys not being picked up, and he called Becky’s father, Bill, to check on her because he had sent text messages that went unanswered. 339: Texas Clock Massacre (Mass Shooter)
Charles Joseph Whitman, known infamously as the "Texas Tower Sniper," shocked the world on August 1, 1966, when he climbed to the top of the University of Texas Tower in Austin and opened fire on the public below. By the time his rampage was stopped, 16 people were dead and 31 others wounded. While his final act of violence and its aftermath are well-documented, the early life of Charles Whitman offers critical insights into the forces that shaped him into the man he became. Was there something in Whitman's background, his upbringing, and the pressures he faced that can provide context for his tragic descent into madness? Want access to our first 45 episodes? 337: The Murder of Franklin Bonner
January 16th, 2009 was just like any other day for Linda Bonner. She got up, went to work, and likely thought anything more about it. Her husband, Franklin Bonner, was home, though, as he was retired from his job with the City of Chattanooga. When Linda returned home from work that evening, she walked into something from a nightmare. Her home was ransacked and Franklin was lying on the ground bound with duct tape and he was unresponsive. It took nine years for any arrests to be made in the case and when the Bonner family finally thought they had justice, the conviction was reversed and the case remains open.
