Today on the Rise of The Young Podcast I sat down with my good friends Ishan Goel & Caryn Marjorie (aka Cutie Caryn), and talked about our recent trip to China to work with Huawei. Huawei Technologies produces over $107 billion a year in revenue. Huawei is a Chinese multinational technology company that provides telecommunications equipment and sells consumer electronics, including smartphones, headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The company was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei. We spent the past week getting a private tour of the Huawei Headquarters, and learned a lot about their company as a whole. It was very interesting learning about what they’re creating when it comes to virtual reality, smart cities, 5G, and more. Huawei employs over 188,000+ employees around the globe, and seeing the internal structure of a global business of that size was incredible. Also, the new smartphone by Huawei known as the P30 Pro has the most incredible camera that I’ve ever seen. Welcome back to the Rise of The Young podcast, on today's episode I talk about the power of sending DM's on Instagram. The truth is, sending DM's has truly changed my life. That may sound weird to say, but the truth is that every single person I've had on this show has came from a DM on Instagram. Also, the way I've connected with all of my business partners has came from Instagram DM's. It's not just the "DM" itself that has changed my life, but the questions I ask and the follow up I use. Sending somebody a single DM won't change your life, but the relationship you build with that person will. On this episode I will be reading to you the DM's I've sent to people in order for them to get on my podcast. Each approach is different, and I'm here to show you the strategy to use if you're looking to connect with quality people on social media. -Here's the catch; in order to get a quality response from somebody, you must build a quality personal brand. When you're reaching out to somebody over DM's, the chances are that they're going to look at your Instagram page and determine if you're somebody they'd like to connect with. Therefore, understanding how important a personal brand is will make all of the difference in your life. Build a personal brand that truly positions you in the most authentic way.
