Ep: 4 - Jason Redman

On September 13, 2007 while acting as Assault Force Commander on an operation to capture an Al Qaeda High Value Individual LT Redman’s Assault Team came under heavy machine gun and small arms fire and he along with two other Teammates were wounded in the ensuing firefight. Ep: 2 - Shawn Lopez

Ozzie Is joined by Shawn Lopez, a Marine Corps Combat Veteran and Purple Heart recipient who served five years in the United States Marine Corps. Shawn served two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his tour in Afghanistan Shawn experienced heavy combat with the Taliban including exposure to multiple explosions from IEDs and indirect fire. These blasts had a significant impact on Shawn’s brain, leaving him with a Traumatic Brain Injury and for a period of time, even impacting his ability to speak. EP: 1 - An introduction to Post Traumatic Survival

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, doing two deployments to Iraq. Ozzie came back a different person. He has struggled with PTSD since then. Eventually hitting rock bottom to the point of wanting to ending it all. Ozzie now runs a non profit called Operation WetVet, where they are dedicated to serving combat wounded/disabled veterans who suffer from PTSD and TBI.
