For a couple of hours on Saturday, Everton looked as though their pre-season had burst into life. Then they played against AFC Bournemouth. The 3-0 loss to the Cherries was a blow, although ahead of the game the Blues saw developments on a couple of potential new transfers. Adam Aznou is now poised to join from Bayern Munich.
