It Is Written Canada

Throughout His time on earth, two thousand years ago, Jesus was rejected. There was no room for Him in the inn, so He was laid in an animal feeding trough. He roamed from place to place like a homeless person, and He said of Himself: “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head”(Matthew 8:20). Today, Jesus is looking for room in your heart. Will you let Him in?

Daniel Cullen, a transient homeless man, lived on the streets for over 25 years in cities and towns across Canada. As an addict, slowly coming apart mentally and emotionally, he used drugs to numb the pain. The official psychiatric records say that he had “little hope of recovery,” yet he did more than just recover. He is now thriving and for the last 20 years helping others recover.

Now that it’s the season of gifts, Christmas, we want to unveil to you the most dangerous gift of all. It’s not a hover board or a set of lawn darts. It’s not a nerf gun or a sling shot, yet it's even a much more dangerous gift than giving your child a motorcycle or a crossbow for Christmas! Take a look and see why you should accept the most dangerous gift of all this Christmas.

Dan Carter went from living on the streets as a homeless, illiterate drug addict to becoming Mayor of Oshawa, Ontario.

When you plant a seed, you won't be eating fruit the next day, the next week, or even the next month. But, one day you will see fruit if you keep weeding, watering, cultivating the soil, and believing in the harvest — believing in the LORD of the harvest.

As a red-head farm kid, when his dad died, Lorne Brownmiller longed for something different. He knew God could have saved his dad, but when He let him pass away, Lorne didn't like the way God operated, so he gravitated towards rebellion. He lived to make money, and when he established a thriving night club in Whistler, he thought he had it made. However, he detected God interrupting what he wanted as his life began to unravel. "God needed something from me, and I wasn’t willing to give it to Him.” Although it's not been easy, when Lorne discovered what God wanted for him, he was set free and found his joy and freedom in willing service to God and to others.

After hearing the truth about her mother, Jolly Grace faced confusion and a host of emotions, which caused her to question her sense of reality and identity. She turned to God, and He provided a core group of friends and put a song in her heart, assuring her that He saw her and He loved her.

Neil Peralta was the only witness to a murder. A woman, who was living in the lower level of his house, was murdered by her husband. At the age of 14, Neil overheard screaming coming from downstairs. When the screaming subsided, the bloodstained father came upstairs carrying a knife in one hand and his five-month-old baby girl in the other. The baby girl’s name was Jolly Grace.
