Tier Fun Operators ft. Nate Bethea
This week Riley (@Raaleh), Hussein (@HKesvani), and Olga (@rocknrolga), belatedly joined by Milo (@Milo_Edwards) sit down with Nate Bethea (@inthesedeserts) from the leftist troopcast, What A Hell of a Way to Die (@HellOfAWay) to talk all about the incredibly stupid ways in which the military uses technology - from the Strava fitness tracking app doing radical praxis by doxxing US military facilities around the world and tech-f*cking procurement nonsense.
We then read a fawning article by the Adam Smith Institute's perennial trash thinker Dr. Madsen Pirie about Elon Musk's dumb space launch. Riley has another anger short curcuit.

Wot Do U Call It? ft. Ash Sarkar
Riley (@raaleh), Hussein (@HKesvani), and Milo (@Milo_Edwards) calling from inside a car in Utah, sit down with Ash Sarkar (@AyoCaesar), senior editor at Novara and Wiley biographer to talk about the history of and political bent of Grime off the back of Ash's run in with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
Then, in an uncharacteristic move, the second half explores some more sincere topics rather than piss stained irony, with Ash turning it around and asking us about being a Muslim on the left (well, mainly Hussein) and the broader political purpose of irony, and the role of persuasive language. It was a really interesting, and often reflexive conversation I enjoyed having.
Anyway, follow us on Twitter - @trashfuturepod
Thanks to Jinsang for our theme song, Herewego, available on Spotify

The Presidents Club: A Club for Presidents ft. Mic Wright and Niamh McIntyre
Howdy y'all. Welcome to your weekend Trashfuture. Join Riley (@raaleh), Hussein (@HKesvani), Milo (@Milo_Edwards), and our twitter friend Suze Marsupial (@suzemarsupial) filling in as fourth host to talk about the slimiest take on the President's Club from the slimiest journalist out there (Brendan O'Neill, of course) in the first half with journalists Niamh McIntyre (@Niamh_Mcintyre) and Mic Wright (@brokenbottleboy). Audio goblins attacked the first segment, so we unfortunately lost our detailed discussion of Niamh's article on the sexualisation of the service industry, but expect that this week.
In the second half, we discuss Mic's exposé on local councils and homelessness policy, the cult of homeownership, and the dumbest "tech" solution we've yet seen pointed at a problem of this magnitude.
Niamh's article is here: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/zmqdy8/sexual-harassment-is-all-too-common-in-hospitality-work
Mic's article is here: https://mic-wright-dl3y.squarespace.com/what-you-need-to-know/2018/1/13/homelessness

Mindfulness Meltdown ft. Maggy van Eijk
Riley (@Raaleh), Milo (@Milo_Edwards), and Hussein (@HKesvani) sit down with journalist and mental health writer Maggy van Eijk (@MaggyVanEijk) to talk about the mendacious claptrap that is self help and self care and the other ways in which we try to inject psychology into our veins to escape from the hell pit of capitalism. It's a fun romp that includes a visit to Jay Shetty's fantasy land, a couple products from Arianna Huffington's scammy well being company, and two readings - one from liberal douchebag Richard Branson on how to be happy, and then on Alpha Dog Big Dick David Brooks on Jordan Peterson, whose dick curls like a pig's tail.

The Army of Dorkness ft. Jake Flores
It's the Trashfuture podcast comedy review! Join Riley (@Raaleh), Milo (@Milo_Edwards), Hussein (@HKesvani), and a RETURNING Charlie (@cfppalmer) are joined by Jake Flores (@feraljokes) to go through Breitbart London editor Raheem Kassam's page turner, No Go Zones: How Sharia Law Is Coming to a Neighborhood Near You. At one point, Riley's friend Johann (@Johann_C_C) - a recognised expert on the Deobandi movement - jumps in to lend a little factual weight to the jokes.

Guess Who's Coming to Criticise Dinner ft. Jay Rayner
Second Thursday bonus episode in a row because I love you people, yakno. Riley (@raaleh), Olga (@rocknrolga), Hussein (@HKesvani), and Milo (@Milo_Edwards) are joined by the restaurant critic for the Observer, comedian, and jazz impressario, Jay Rayner (@JayRayner1). We talk about the dumbest fancy dining experience in the world, and then go into all the stupid ways rich people try to make food more exclusive. We talk raw water, raw milk, and the idiotic obsession with Clean Eating that will hopefully wipe out the rich as a species.

Literally Black Mirror ft Taylor Lorenz and Alex Krasodomski
This week Riley (@raaleh), Milo (@milo_edwards), Hussein (@HKesvani), and Alex (@AlexKealy), do a two part double header. In Part 1, friend of the show and Daily Beast technology reporter Taylor Lorenz (@TaylorLorenz) phones in from the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas to explain how nothing works, and the emptiness of the techbro culture that produced it.
In Part 2, we are joined by Alex Krasodomski (@AKrasodomski), a researcher of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media at the Demos think tank, to talk about the nexus between the conspiracy theorising, the structure of the internet, and (of course) the tech monopolies.

LIVEFUTURE ft Ahir Shah
Oh sheesh y'all it's a Thursday bonus episode! The trash fam did a brief set as part of Alex Kealy's (@AlexKealy) monthly comedy night at the Comedy Grotto, with all profits going to Syrian Refugee Relief.
Ahir Shah (@AhirShah) stepped in to help us rubbish what has turned out to be probably the dumbest AND most insidious product yet. Follow your beloved hosts on twitter - Riley (@raaleh), Olga (@rocknrolga), Milo (@milo_edwards), and Hussein (@HKesvani), and the podcast account itself (@trashfuturepod). Furthemore, please tell us on the Trashfuture twitter's open DM's what you might like to see out of future live shows and we may just do it!

Under the Influencers ft. Taylor Lorenz and Elena Cresci
Hey Trash Fam - it's a new week and therefore a new episode.
The gang (Riley @raaleh, Milo @milo_edwards, Hussein @HKesvani, and Elena Cresci @elenacresci) talks about about our progress through no pee january, the Spectator's list of reasons to be cheerful (they're dumb), the plan to replace the border force with "Dad's Waffen SS," and Toby Young's Defense of Toby Young by Toby Young.
Taylor Lorenz (@TaylorLorenz), who covers technology and culture at the Daily Beast, joins us in the latter half ot the ep to give us an anthropological explanation of the YouTube teens - who they are, what they hell are they thinking, and what's next for them. (Spoiler alert - it's all weird and hyperreal).

Nick Boles-ing for Columbine: Peter Melt-Doaun, Free Speech, Work 'Til You Die
Hey you absolute savages. A few of the trash gang gathered around, sans guest, to break through the constant flux of drunkenness/hangover (except ethical boy Hussein), to bandy about some online nonsense.
Today we have @raaleh, @milo_edwards, @hkesvani, and @rocknrolga.
We talk about Regular Man and Aspiring Hillary Clinton Toilet Peter Daou's propensity for targeted harrassment and extending the ongoing and utterly pointless 2016 primary, the ongoing and utterly pointless university free speech culture wars, the ongoing and utterly pointless American crusade to solve school shootings without removing guns, and a reading from the ongoing and utterly pointless literary career of Tory MP Nick Boles.
