Klout scores, digital influence lists, friends, followers, more and more data and information about the idea of online influence, and what it may or may not mean. Should organizations consider online or digital influence as determined by algorithms or by human beings in sourcing, screening, and hiring processes?
Do we think that these kinds of influence measurements are mature and accurate enough to include in recruiting? Are they any more or less accurate than traditional approaches to recruiting and assessment?
This week on the show we will try to take a deeper look at digital influence and hring and we'll be joined by Megan Berry from Klout, as well as social recruiting expert Jennifer McClure. And the super Dawn Hrdlica-Burke, VP of People at Daxko will be back in the co-pilot seat as well.

This week the HR Happy Hour Show goes a bit 'inside baseball' so to speak, with an examination and conversation about the state of the HR blogosphere; the increasing amount of activity, participation, and possible noise in the online HR space; and a look at whether or not all this activity, content creation, and energy expenditure is having an impact on the day-to-day practice of HR and Talent Management in organizations.
Social and participatory technologies have created more forums for the creation and propagation of news, opinion, insight, and quite honestly promotion and advertising, that it seems like not a minute of the day goes by without a new blog post being published, a webinar being given, or a series of hashtag-indicated live tweets from one of the newly created grass-roots gatherings.
But are the HR bloggers/speakers/social mavens having an impact in the real world of HR?
Are we really just saying lots of similar things to a discrete and committed audience?
Is the sheer volume making it impossible to keep up, and to discover the real value and insights being created and shared in the space?
Join guests Kris Dunn, John Sumser, and guest co-host Trish McFarlane with host Steve Boese for a look at the state of the online HR world. I hope you can join us!

This week on the HR Happy Hour Show join host Steve Boese and special guest co-host Fran Melmed as we welcome Shape Up co-founder Rajiv Kumar to the show to talk about how taking a more social approach to health and wellness is impacting how organizations are thinking about and deploying wellness initiatives.
We all know that health care costs continue to trend upward, organizations are straining to meet the needs of their employee's medical and benefit costs as well as hold the line on expenses. Increasingly organizations are looking at more innovative and socially oriented programs to make wellness programs more successful and sticky.
Can adding social components to corporate wellness programs make a difference? How can companies get these programs off the ground? What are some of the keys to success? What are the barriers?
I hope you can join Steve, Fran and Rajiv as we talk about 'Taking Wellness Social'.
