Ep. 115 - Peter Rollins ”Atheism for Lent 2021”
Guest Info/Bio: This week I welcome back our dear friend Peter Rollins to talk all about his annual Atheism for Lent course. To sign up for Atheism for Lent go to Pete’s website: www.peterrollins.com for tickets.
Pete is an author, philosopher, storyteller, producer, and public speaker who has gained an international reputation for overturning traditional notions of religion and forming “churches” that preach the Good News that we can’t be satisfied, that life is difficult, and that we don’t know the secret.
Challenging the idea that faith concerns questions relating to belief; attacking the distinction between the sacred and the secular. It critiques theism and it sets aside questions regarding life after death to explore the possibility of life before death.
Peter gained his higher education from Queens University, Belfast where he earned degrees (with distinction) in Scholastic Philosophy (BA Hons), Political Theory and Social Criticism (MA) and Post-Structural thought (PhD).
Guest (Select) Published Works: Insurrection, The Idolatry of God, The Divine Magician.

Ep. 111 - David Zach ”Human Trafficking pt. 1”
Guest Info/Bio:
This week I welcome David Zach. David Zach is the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Remedy Drive as well as an advocate in the fight against human trafficking. The band has recorded two concept albums to shine a light on slavery and to celebrate the modern day abolition. The band's community and fan base has contributed around $350,000 in donations and in-kind donations to the counter trafficking organization The Exodus Road.
When the band is not on tour David volunteers with The Exodus Road as an undercover operative. He spends time in brothels and in the red-light districts where underage girls and boys are sold by the hour. His role while undercover is to identify instances of minors being sold, and to capture actionable evidence of their trafficking using covert gear, some of which is funded by the Remedy Drive community and fan base.
Upon returning from deployment overseas David uses the band and his platform to advocate for the victims of human trafficking, to shine a light on slavery and to speak about his time overseas with the goal of recruiting and funding the fight which is the modern underground railroad. He has spoken at many of the major festivals during talkback sessions, main stages and seminar tents. He also speaks at colleges, conferences, high school campuses and churches. David's message centers upon a core belief of both Remedy Drive and The Exodus Road - "Justice is in the hands of the ordinary".
To hear about raids/rescues and everything going on the front lines text “remedy” to 51555.

Ep. 109 - Dan Koch ”The Rapture/End Times Theology”
Guest Info/BIo:
This week I have a fascinating conversation with Dan Koch. Dan got his start in professional songwriting in 2002 with his band Sherwood. They released three full albums and a handful of shorter EPs, toured the US, Europe & Japan, and generally had a great time. As that season of life ended, he settled in Seattle and began transitioning into writing music for film & TV. He’s been fortunate to work with some great people, and has landed some 80+ national TV & radio spots in about 8 years. Dan is also host of the You Have Permission, Depolarize!, and Reconstruct podcasts.
