Episode 147-The Stand, Part One (Re-Release)
Welcome back, everyone. Based on recent current events, I thought it was pertinent to re-release my examination of King's The Stand. When I watch millions of women and men gather together to protest intolerance and bigotry, when your neighbors leave their homes to protect your rights while others threaten to take those rights away, I can't help but think of Mother Abigail's message to her people. Remember, at the end of the world, God did not ask His people to go to war with Randall Flagg. He merely asked His people to stand against him. I'm re-releasing my reviews of Stephen King's classic in honor of everyone who is out there making their stand.
And for the record, despite what I say in this episode, I do NOT believe that Fran's baby is the Crimson King! :)

Episode 146-The Night Flier (Re-Release With New Introduction)
Welcome back everyone. Due to the passing of Miguel Ferrer, who played Stephen King characters Lloyd Henried and Richard Dees, I am re-releasing my episode of 1997's The Night Flier, an unappreciated movie that everyone should go out and watch tonight in honor of the late, beloved character actor. I have recorded an all-new introduction in which I say good-bye to an actor who will always be remembered by me as the one, the only, Special Agent Albert Rosenfield, whose life philosphy was beautifully stated in a memorable scene in Twin Peaks:
"While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love."
Rest in peace, Miguel Ferrer. You will be missed.

Episode 143-Cell Movie
Happy Holidays, everyone! I wasn't going to let 2016 end without recording at least one more episode. I had been hoping it would be a review of the Dark Tower trailer, but because Sony hasn't released it (as promised) I decided to get my review of Cell out of the way.

Episode 140-Ghost Road Blues
Happy October, everyone! At long last, I present to you the first part of my review of Jonathan Maberry's phenomenal Halloweeny Pine Deep Trilogy, beginning with Ghost Road Blues. Do you love vampires, werewolves, ghosts, the blues, small towns, serial killers, buddy cops, romance, chosen children, evil henchmen, mobsters, Halloween, spooky tourist attractions, small town politics, crime fiction, karate, samurai swords, zombies, ancient evil, long dormant secrets and dark pasts? Well, you'll love Jonathan Maberry's Pine Deep trilogy. Stephen King has never written the definitive love letter to Halloween, but now he doesn't have to, because Maberry beat him to the punch. Trust me, if you love King's style and you love Halloween, you will love these three books. I review the first one here, on the Stephen Kingcast.
