Black/Jewish Solidarity, Black Hebrew Israelites, Black Lives Matter, & Antisemitism with Dumisani Washington
Despite the rich history of cooperation between the Jewish and Black communities, tensions have been high over the past couple of months spurred on by the antisemitic comments of Kanye West and a rally of Black Hebrew Israelites outside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Rabbi Wildes is joined by Dumisani Washington, founder of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel to discuss the roots of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, whether Black Lives Matter and the Left get a pass when it comes to Antisemitism, and how we can use what seems like a dark moment in the history of our peoples' to come together and create a new coalition of Black/Jewish solidarity.

Rabbi Wildes Guests on Tachlis Media's "Saturday to Shabbos"
Rabbi Mark Wildes and his wife Jill co-founded Manhattan Jewish Experience, or MJE, more than 20 years ago. What started as a beginner’s Hebrew class with 18 attendees has blossomed into an organization that today draws in over 20,000 annual attendees to classes, events, Shabbos meals, and more. Rabbi Wildes was a lawyer and pulpit rabbi before ultimately finding his true purpose as an outreach rabbi.
