Is Complexity Keeping You From Scaling?
In today’s quick tip episode I want to dive into a topic that I’ve been hinting at a few times in recent shows. Cut your lead gen costs in HALF with my $37 mini-course–NOW only $17!Visit The Art of Online Business website for Facebook Ads help I want to spend a few minutes talking about what I mean when I say, “Simplicity is what scales.”I was recently auditing an Accelerator member’s business. I discovered there was a ton of unnecessary complexity in their business.Complexity that’s holding them back from scaling their business faster.I’m a huge fan of simplicity. Years ago, however, my business was anything but simple. It was super complex, with different offers for different audiences. The back end of the business was a spider web of different tools connected to each other in weird ways.Things got so much better when I simplified everything down to four key components in the business. We scaled the business. We created more revenue and more profit. I was working the least amount of hours that I ever had, and I was the happiest I’d ever been in the business. That’s what I want for you and your business, and it starts with simplifying the business into four different systems, which I’m going to share with you today. Please click here to give an honest Rating/Review for the show on iTunes! How to Get Started with SEO, with Gert Mellak
Today we’re going to be talking about a topic that I’ve been sleeping on for eight years in my business. I’m embarrassed to say I don’t think we’ve ever devoted a full episode to SEO. Cut your lead gen costs in HALF with my $37 mini-course–NOW only $17!Visit The Art of Online Business website for Facebook Ads help In almost 600 episodes, I’ve slept on it. I haven’t talked about it.That changes today.Joining me to share his expertise is Gert Mellak. Gert's the founder of a company called SEOLeverage.com. He’s the creator of the ERICA Framework. He’s also the author of the book The ERICA Framework.Gert is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to SEO. He's going to share how to get started with SEO, talking about things like: how much time it actually takes. Should you be getting help with this? Should you be hiring an agency like Gert's agency? How long it takes to see results from SEO. Where does it fit in the marketing ecosystem of your business? One big thing that jumped out at me from this interview is it’s not as scary as many of us think. When I think of SEO, I think it’s a huge project and so much work.Well, Gert shares with us it’s actually more about the 80/20. What are the 20% of the things on our website—pieces of content, for example—that are driving the most results, and how do we optimize? How do we make that better? That’s what we’re always talking about here on the show: how to make things better. So, I think you’re going to get a lot out of this episode. Please click here to give an honest Rating/Review for the show on iTunes! 9 Ways to Segment Your Audience
Today I want to talk about a topic I’m seeing come up more and more in my coaching sessions. Cut your lead gen costs in HALF with my $37 mini-course–NOW only $17!Visit The Art of Online Business website for Facebook Ads help I’ve been in business now for eight years with my online business. For the first several years I made the huge mistake of not segmenting the conversations that I had in my business. When we segment, it’s going to lead to stronger relationships with people that you serve or want to serve. When you segment, it’s going to serve them for where they are at, based on interests or their level of expertise, or whatever it is that you do in your niche. It can increase open and click rates in your emails. It can increase sales. It can increase your repeat customer count. It can also bring in lost revenue from card abandonment. There’s a whole bunch of benefits to segmenting. I think the biggest one is how it allows you to have the right conversation with the right person based on wherever they are at in their journey. We’re going to cover all of this in today’s quick tip episode. Please click here to give an honest Rating/Review for the show on iTunes!
