Brian Williams is a long-time friend and colleague and when he announced his retirement this weekend it left many people wondering how to imagine how an Olympics would ever be the same.  In tribute, I read one of the stories in my new book which is all about Brian.  Before that, some thoughts about a critical meeting on a very important topic that is just two weeks away.
