It's impossible to know for sure if Watson's 'some things never change' tweet was about the hire, but the timing definitely seems to fit. The decisions to hire Caserio (who wasn't on their search firm's list of preferred candidates) and not even interview Eric Bieniemy for their vacant head coaching job (who Watson has long-preferred) makes one thing very clear: the Texans don't give a damn what their franchise quarterback thinks. They're going to keep doing what they've always done, and they're going to continue to waste the best years of Watson's career in the process. The NFL would be better off if Watson would just force his way out of town; his time is far too valuable to be spent working for such a clueless franchise.
