Rejection and acceptance are two powerful ways our lives can be transformed. In the final week of Neighbors & Nations, James Savage shares how one man’s journey from rejection to acceptance brought the truth of Jesus from neighborhoods to the nations. 

We turn to many things to avoid and escape the feeling of emptiness and rejection.  God created us with eternity in our hearts – a space that can’t be fulfilled with the things of this world. In today’s message, Pastor Kevin Queen teaches from John 4, when Jesus meets the woman at the well. Jesus identifies the emptiness and escape the Samaritan woman struggles with – not to shame her, but to set her free. The woman who comes to the well with an empty jar ends up leaving filled with living water.  

The world is a big place, but God is bigger. He sees and knows every person, even though we don’t. He orchestrates people in places for His glory.  So when we ask, “Who is my neighbor?”, the real question should be, “Who can I be a neighbor to?” In the second week of Neighbors & Nations, Pastor Kevin Queen sheds light on God’s heart for people, and in turn — what our heart toward people should be for our neighbors. There are 7.8 billion people in the world. That many people can feel overwhelming as we go through our day-to-day lives. We sometimes may want the world to be smaller, but we serve a big God who sees every, single person.  If we are following Jesus’ example of hospitality, we need to make room for people we don’t have to — to really see them and to really love them, because God loves them first. In this first week of our Neighbors & Nations series, Pastor Kevin challenges us to love people who are not like us, move toward them and make space for them at our tables. 

If you work in the marketplace as an educator, a designer, a songwriter, a lawyer, an author, or whatever your profession might be, it is easy to think you don’t work in ministry. The truth is if you are a follower of Christ, you are in ministry every day. When you are at home, at work, at school, with friends – you are reflecting the image of God in who you are and how you act, and ultimately giving Him glory. In this final week of Crafted, Pastor Kevin talks about how God can use you and your gifts to give God the glory.
