This episode originally aired on January 28, 2020. Robert Habeck, chair of the German Green Party (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) shared his vision for the future of Europe. He addressed the political challenges the EU is facing in a time of changing global order. He discussed pathways to strengthen the EU internally, and to increase its capacity as a regional and global actor. He emphasized how the EU can succeed domestically and play a leading role in the fight against climate change, in managing the digital transformation of our economies, and in preserving and strengthening liberal democracy at home and abroad.
