Season 7 | Ep41 Why investing in AI to drive new business could be the biggest mistake you make right now!
On this week's show, I'm releasing my talk at this year's Recruitment Agency Expo, all about why AI and automation could be the biggest mistake you make in your recruitment agency in 2024.In March, I was on stage in front of a room full of recruitment leaders who had been subjected to countless suppliers from technology companies promoting their latest AI tools and tech to automate parts of the recruitment process. Everyone agreed that this tech sounds logical, efficient and exciting. Personally, I don't believe that most recruitment businesses are ready for all of it just yet. I think there’s a more logical place to start. The platforms and tools everyone is ALREADY paying for. LinkedIn is a great example. There is so much to optimise and capitalise on before moving on to automation. I’ve seen what happens when companies try to automate too many things too soon. It can have a hugely negative adverse reaction in the marketplace, and really does more harm than good. In this talk, I go through what you need to consider if you are going to invest in AI and what other options are on the table. Leo is the founder of Core3 Finance Recruitment, headquartered in Bristol, with 10 employees. Although the company is only two years old, Leo’s team has already reached just under £1 million in revenue in their second year. What I love about this business is that they're all about making a positive social impact.
