In this episode, Lily explores Hildebrand’s flight from Nazi Germany in 1933 and his time in Vienna, where he founded an anti-Nazi magazine with the support of Austrian Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss, who was assassinated by the Nazis in 1934. Hildebrand continued his anti-Nazi activities and faced increasing persecution, until he was forced to flee Austria in 1938 as the Nazis invaded. Lily tells how Hildebrand's faith and moral courage sustained him, and how he wrote his magnum opus, Transformation in Christ, during this period.
