Through extensive research, based primarily on the most foundational resources available (the Israeli State, Central Zionist, IDF, and David Ben-Gurion archives, etc.), he discovered that much of what he had believed was inaccurate. Brian D. McLaren
Frank Schaeffer In Conversation with author Brian D. McLaren, exploring his new book, Faith After Doubt; a book for the millions of people around the world who feel that their faith is falling apart._____LINKSwww.brianmclaren.net_____From the author of A New Kind of Christianity comes a bold proposal: only doubt can save the world and your faith. "Will help you live fuller and breathe easier..” ―Glennon Doyle"Deeply reassuring to anyone who questions their faith or the existence of God... McLaren's book teaches us not to fear doubt and how to embody faith after doubt, with suggestions for reflection and action." ―Spirituality&HealthSixty-five million adults in the U.S. have dropped out of active church attendance and about 2.7 million more are leaving every year. Faith After Doubt is for the millions of people around the world who feel that their faith is falling apart.Using his own story and the stories of a diverse group of struggling believers, Brian D. McLaren, a former pastor and now an author, speaker, and activist shows how old assumptions are being challenged in nearly every area of human life, not just theology and spirituality. He proposes a four-stage model of faith development in which questions and doubt are not the enemy of faith, but rather a portal to a more mature and fruitful kind of faith. The four stages―Simplicity, Complexity, Perplexity, and Harmony―offer a path forward that can help sincere and thoughtful people leave behind unnecessary baggage and intensify their commitment to what matters most.I have had the pleasure of talking to some of the leading authors, artists, activists, and change-makers of our time on this podcast, and I want to personally thank you for subscribing, listening, and sharing 100-plus episodes over 100,000 times. Please subscribe to this Podcast, In Conversation… with Frank Schaeffer, on your favorite platform, and to my Substack, It Has to Be Said.
