Safety Tips for Ultrarunners: How to Stay Protected on the Trail or Road

When we feel safe on the runs, we can fully enjoy it. And when you take the right precautions to feel safer, it can give you much more peace of mind when you’re out there, while also giving you the best chance to protect yourself in case something extreme happens. Given the recent horrific news lately on runners losing their lives, I felt it was important to record this topic on running safety to help provide resources and tips to stay safe on the trails (shoutout to Joshua for also recommending the topic). In this episode, we cover safety precautions you can take on both the roads and trails while running to help give yourself the best chance of reducing harm. We cover safety precautions from violence from others, weather safety tips, precautious measures to take in case of injury, how to handle inclement weather, and gear to use to help increase safety on the runs. Thank you for listening to this very important episode of the podcast.
