The Trinity: An Overview Podcast
This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. Scott Swain. Dr. Swain is Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Florida. He also serves as the Academic Dean on campus. With Dr. Michael Allen, he serves as general editor of two series: Zondervan Academic’s New Studies in Dogmatics and T & T Clark’s International Theological Commentary. Dr. Swain is co-chair of the Reformed Theology Consultation in the Evangelical Theological Society. He blogs regularly at the Alliance site Reformation21 and Common Places. Dr. Swain is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. He and his wife, Leigh, have four children. This week Theology on the Go is featuring a podcast on an overview of Trinitarian theology. On the night our Lord was betrayed he taught His disciples about the Trinity. That alone ought to convince us that the doctrine of the Trinity is a practical matter. This podcast is the second in a series focusing on the doctrine of the Trinity. In light of the recent Trinitarian controversy, Theology on the Go believes that a series like this is an important service to the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Trinity: The Doctrine of Simplicity Podcast
This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. James Dolezal. Dr. Dolezal is Assistant Professor in the School of Theology at Cairn University. He is a California native and is a graduate of The Master’s College, The Master’s Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Prior to undertaking PhD studies at Westminster Dr. Dolezal was the pastor of a Reformed Baptist church in Alberta, Canada. He is the author of, God without Parts: Divine Simplicity and the Metaphysics of God’s Absoluteness (Pickwick, 2011), as well as numerous articles and reviews. He and his wife Courtney live with their two children, Judah and Havah, in Warminster, PA. This week Theology on the Go is featuring a podcast on the doctrine of God's simplicity. This doctrine, though vitally important, is shrouded in mystery and can be radically misunderstood. This podcast will be the first in a series focusing on the doctrine of the Trinity. In light of the recent Trinitarian controversy, Theology on the Go believes that a series like this is an important service to the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Carl Trueman (PhD, Aberdeen) holds the Paul Woolley Chair of Church History and is professor of church history at Westminster Theological Seminary. He has written more than a dozen books, and is currently co-editing with Bruce Gordon the Oxford Handbook of Calvin and Calvinism due in 2017. Dr. Trueman also writes online regularly at firstthings.com on contemporary issues such as religious freedom, identity politics, and the state of the church and on the Alliance site, Mortification of Spin. Dr. Trueman is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and is pastor of Cornerstone OPC in Ambler, PA. The Westminster Confession of Faith Podcast
This week on Theology on the Go, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. Chad Van Dixhoorn. Dr. VanDixhoorn is Associate Professor of Church History at Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington D.C.. He is also the author of an extensive study on the Westminster Assembly entitled, The Minutes and Papers of the Westminster Assembly, 1643-1652. He has also written a very helpful study of and introduction to the Westminster Confession of Faith called, Confessing the Faith: A Reader's Guide to the Westminster Confession of Faith.
