The Assurance of Salvation Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go our host, Dr. Jonathan Master will be on the receiving end of the questions.  So, Dr. Jeffrey Stivason joins the program to interview Dr. Master on the important topic of the assurance of salvation.  Dr. Master is dean of the school of divinity and professor of theology at Cairn University. Westminster & Ordination Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. Chad Van Dixhoorn.   Dr. VanDixhoorn is Associate Professor of Church History at Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington D.C..  He is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary (MDiv, ThM) and the University of Cambridge (PhD). He has taught theology at the University of Nottingham, and has held three fellowships at the University of Cambridge, where he has researched the history and theology of the Westminster assembly and taught on the subject of Puritanism. A former British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow, in 2013 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in recognition of his five-volume work on the Westminster assembly, published by Oxford University Press. Van Dixhoorn also serves as an honorary research fellow in the School of History at the University of East Anglia, UK. Van Dixhoorn has lectured at RTS Washington since 2008 where he teaches church history and practical theology. He has served as Associate Professor of Church history at RTS Washington since 2013, as Chancellor’s Professor of Historical Theology for RTS since 2015, and he is a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Van Dixhoorn served as a pastor at Cambridge Presbyterian Church (UK) and then at Grace Presbyterian Church (Vienna, VA) for nine years. Today, Jonathan and Chad will the topic of Ordination as it relates to Chad’s new book, God's Ambassadors: The Westminster Assembly and the Reformation of the English Pulpit, 1643-1653. The Marks of a Healthy Church Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. Barry York. Since 2013, Dr. York has been professor of pastoral theology and Dean of Faculty at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh. However, before serving the seminary, Dr. York was sent to Kokomo, Indiana, as a church planter in 1991.  Through an evangelistic and disciple-making ministry the congregation of Sycamore Reformed Presbyterian Church was organized in 1994, where Barry served as pastor until June of 2013.  From 2002-2013 he also served as the administrator and a teacher for Sycamore Covenant Academy, an educational and service program devoted to preparing covenant youth for college and life.  He also is the general editor of the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Journal and co-hosts a podcast called 3GT. The Theology & Influence of John Calvin Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is once again joined by Dr. Bruce Gordon. Dr. Gordon taught at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he was professor of modern history and deputy director of the St. Andrews Reformation Studies Institute, before joining the faculty of Yale Divinity School in 2008. Dr. Gordon’s research and teaching focus on European religious cultures of the late-medieval and early modern periods, with a particular interest in the Reformation and its reception. His most recent book is John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion (Princeton 2016), which looks at the reception from the sixteenth century to the age of YouTube of one of the defining works of the Reformation. He is the author of Calvin (Yale, 2009), a biography of the Genevan reformer, and the Swiss Reformation (Manchester, 2002), a Choice Magazine “Outstanding Publication” (2003). Dr. Gordon teaches and supervises graduate students in a broad range of medieval and early modern subjects and their resonances in contemporary historiography and society. In 2012 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Zurich. Today Dr. Master will continue his discussion with Dr. Gordon in the second of a two part series on John Calvin. The New Perspective on Paul Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. Robert Cara.  Dr. Cara is the Hugh and Sallie Reaves Professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary-Charlotte and Provost and Chief Academic Officer for the Reformed Theological Seminary institution.  He has been a professor at RTS since 1993. Dr. Cara was an engineer for seven years before the Lord re-directed him toward seminary. Benjamin B. Warfield and Inspiration Podcast

Classical Theism Podcast

This week on Theology on the Go, our host, Dr. Jonathan Master is joined by Dr. James Dolezal.  Dr. Dolezal is Assistant Professor in the School of Divinity at Cairn University. He is a California native and is a graduate of The Master’s College, The Master’s Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Prior to undertaking PhD studies at Westminster Dr. Dolezal was the pastor of a Reformed Baptist church in Alberta, Canada. He is the author of, God without Parts: Divine Simplicity and the Metaphysics of God’s Absoluteness (Pickwick, 2011), All That is in God (Reformation Heritage Books, 2017) as well as numerous articles and reviews. He and his wife Courtney live with their three children in Warminster, PA. He has held appointments as Visiting Research Fellow in the School of History and Anthropology at Queen’s University Belfast and Visiting Scholar at Princeton Theological Seminary for his ongoing work in the history of biblical interpretation. Prior to coming to PRTS, Dr. VanDoodewaard taught at Patrick Henry Col­lege, near Washington, D.C., and at Huntington University in Indiana. He has written for Books & Culture, The Journal of British Studies, Themelios, Puritan Reformed Journal, Westminster Theological Journal, and online at The Gospel Coalition and Reformation21. He is also a contributor to a number of books, and the author of two: The Quest for the Historical Adam and The Marrow Controversy and Seceder Tradition. Dr. VanDoodewaard is an ordained minister who has served as a church planter; he worships with his family at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
