Dr. Fesko has taught at RTS Atlanta since 2000 while he served as a pastor in Northwest Atlanta and now as Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at RTS Jackson. He has been an ordained minister since 1998 in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church serving as a church planter, pastor, and now teacher. Dr. Fesko’s interests include early modern Reformation and post-Reformation theology, the integration of biblical and systematic theology, as well as soteriology, especially the doctrine of justification. Dr. Fesko has authored or edited more than twenty books and written fifty published essays for various journals and books.

Bruce Gordon taught at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he was professor of modern history and deputy director of the St Andrews Reformation Studies Institute. He came to Yale in 2008. His research and teaching focus on European religious cultures of the late-medieval and early modern periods, with a particular interest in the Reformation and its reception. His John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion (Princeton 2016) looks the reception from the sixteenth century to the age of YouTube of one of the defining works of the Reformation. He is the author of Calvin (Yale, 2009), a biography of the Genevan reformer, and the Swiss Reformation (Manchester, 2002), a Choice Magazine “Outstanding Publication” (2003). In addition, he has edited books and written widely on early modern history writing, biblical culture, Reformation devotion and spirituality, and the place of the dead in pre-modern culture. He was principal investigator for a grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council in the United Kingdom for a project “Protestant Latin Bibles of the Sixteenth Century”. He received a Horace W. Goldsmith Award from Yale University to develop an online course (MOOC) called ‘A Journey through Western Christianity’, appeared in 2016. In 2021 he published The Oxford Handbook of Calvin and Calvinism (Oxford) and Huldrych Zwingli. God’s Armed Prophet(Yale). He is currently writing The Bible: A Global History for Basic Books in New York.
Carl R. Trueman (PhD, University of Aberdeen) is professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College, and co-host of the popular podcast The Mortification of Spin. He is contributing editor at First Things, an esteemed church historian, and a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Trueman has authored or edited more than a dozen books, including the best-seller The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, The Creedal Imperative; Luther on the Christian Life; and Histories and Fallacies. Trueman is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Gregory R. Lanier (PhD, University of Cambridge) joined the faculty of RTS Orlando in 2016 and teaches courses related to New Testament exegesis and interpretation, Greek, and preaching. He is also an Associate Pastor (part-time) at River Oaks Church and is ordained in the PCA. He lives in Oviedo with his wife, Kate, who is an optometrist, and their three daughters. Before moving to Florida, the Laniers lived in Cambridge, England, where Greg finished his doctorate; while in England, they were actively involved in an evangelical Anglican church. His research interests include the Synoptic Gospels, canon and textual criticism, the use of the OT in the NT, the Pauline epistles, and the Septuagint. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies, and he maintains a blog.

Rev. Dr. Brandon Crowe (PhD, Edinburgh) is professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary and book review editor for the Westminster Theological Journal. Dr. Crowe’s academic interests include biblical theology, the Gospels (especially the Gospel of Matthew), the General Epistles, and the early church. His PhD thesis at Edinburgh is entitled The Obedient Son: Deuteronomy and Christology in the Gospel of Matthew, and was published as part of Walter de Gruyter’s BZNW series. For those who are new to Dr. Crowe’s writing and teaching on his research interests, he recommends several resources as places to start. Consider listening to this interview discussing his work on Deuteronomy and Christology in the Gospel of Matthew.
