#45 - Kevin Cornelio on Awoken, The Power of Sensitivity, and Compassion
Kevin Cornelio is an introvert, an empath, and most of all a Highly Sensitive Person.
Kevin has always strived to help others but also worked very hard to help himself overcome his own shyness, depression, and social anxiety, which have plagued him throughout his life. While developing mindsets, habits, and coping strategies to overcome these challenges, Kevin obtained a degree in Psychology, then Professional Life Coaching certifications from iPEC, one of the world's premier coach training schools.
However, Kevin also unintentionally developed an extreme lifestyle that included work-addiction, as well as eating and exercise disorders, which culminated in Kevin suffering from severe burnout, a loss one-third of his body weight, and ultimately a Near-Death Experience.
Thankfully, this radical, intense experience didn’t end his life but rather transformed his life, calling him to embrace self-love and compassion and inspiring him to share with others the profound insights that he has taken away from his experience. Kevin has followed this calling by becoming the author of Woken, a series of literary fiction novels that tell the story of The Highly Sensitive Life.
Additionally, I’ll be donating to and raising awareness for the charity or organization of my guest’s choice with each episode now. This episode, the charity is Compassion International. Any and all donations make a difference!
