Grace is a word that we’ve all most likely heard and yet we often get it wrong.  Do we really know what grace is and, maybe more importantly, what grace isn’t? To dig into this topic, I sit down with Joby Martin. Joby is the founder and lead pastor of The Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville, Florida which was recently named the “Third Fastest Growing Church in the United States” by Outreach Magazine. Joby’s most recent book is all about the topic of grace.  We talk about why it’s a challenge for us to accept grace.  We talk about why it’s a challenge for us to extend grace to others.  Joby also drops leadership gold, especially for those of us who like to run fast (and maybe act less gracefully than we should when others can’t keep up). Well, Carlos recently conducted a 7-week experiment where he didn’t look at a single screen. Think about that. Literally no screen (while traveling through airports, the tv in his home, maps on his phone… none of it!). Instead, he spent time with Benedictine monks and Amish farmers, learning the art of reconnecting with life beyond his screens.
