3014 Wait with Anticipation

Hope is an anchor that keeps us grounded when everything seems uncertain. It is a beacon of light that leads us to a brighter tomorrow. When life is tough, and the future is uncertain, wait with anticipation. Sometimes we rush what we need to wait on. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co "Hope is the thing with feathers, That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all." ~ Emily Dickinson These words written by Emily Dickinson signify that hope is an essential element that helps us cope with difficult situations. No matter how bleak the situation may seem, there is always a flicker of hope that can help you persevere. And when you are going through these tough times, hope can give you the motivation to move forward. Hope doesn't ask anything from you; only to be present with you. The K.I.S.S. ~ Wait with anticipation! I believe all of us can use wisdom in our life. "Walk with the wise and become wise." ~ Proverbs 13:20 And in the same chapter of Proverbs, it states: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." ~ Proverbs 13:12 That longing - that wait with anticipation - comes from hope. You may not be in the season of life you wish you were, but that doesn't mean you throw in the towel and quit life altogether. You have to press on; wait with anticipation. And that waiting doesn't reflect on you doing nothing. You are still active and performing at your best. You are still moving forward with the drive to greatness. Don't get sucked into negative thinking when things aren't going well. Focus on what's working. Focus on the positive so you can see the silver lining in your circumstances. Wait with anticipation. And then, fill your cup with gratitude. When life dishes out CRAP, you have got to dish up gratitude. You gotta slap CRAP around and show it who's boss. Gratitude and thankfulness soften the heart so you can see the blessings in the messes. You are made for more. Hope is perched on your heart. It's up to you to wait with anticipation. When you feel like giving up, hold onto hope, and know that a brighter tomorrow is just around the corner. Remember, even in the darkest of times, hope springs eternal. 3013 The Choice is Yours

Whether it's gaining muscle or losing weight, achieving the body of your dreams is entirely possible through dedication and determination. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise - the choice is yours! It can be overwhelming to make decisions about what to do with your body. Every day, we are bombarded with advertisements, opinions, and social media messages about the "right way" to take care of ourselves. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co However, it's essential to remember that what's best for someone else may not be what's best for us. In reality, the choice is yours. With that in mind, how do you decide what's right for your body? You can rely on people who you don't know, yet earn your trust through social media outlets. You can try what worked in the past, hoping for the best. You can go out on a limb and subscribe to all the success stories and hope yours will be one of them. Now, there are probably about another 300 different things to consider. But the most important one is focusing on your needs. The K.I.S.S. ~ Focus on your needs! There is a lot to learn when it comes to the body. If you have ever studied the human body, it is hard not to look at it and see how intricate and amazing our bodies are. So you have to be direct about what you are in search of in order to keep the focus on your needs. Otherwise, you'll get distracted and start looking for everyone else's needs. Research Your Options: First, take the time to research your options. There are countless diets, exercise routines, and wellness trends out there, and it's essential to understand what each of them involves, the potential benefits and drawbacks, and how they may impact your lifestyle. For example, Keto, Paleo, Vegan diets are some popular diets, and each of them involves a different type of food philosophy. Determine what foods you like and what you can sustain over the long-term. Understand Your Body: It's important to understand your body type, age, and health history before making any significant changes. What works for a young athlete may not be practical for a middle-aged working parent. At the same time, what works for your best friend may not work for you. Get a consultation from a physician or a nutritionist—the experts. They can give you insights into what will benefit your body based on your current state of health. Choose Something That You Enjoy: Just because a diet or exercise routine is popular doesn't mean that it's the best choice. Your body is the most important thing and should assist you in achieving your goals. Choose a diet or exercise routine you enjoy, not one that feels like punishment. This increases the chances of sticking to the routine and becoming a part of your every day; hence creating a lifestyle. So do something you love doing every day. Decide and Make a Plan: Nothing happens until you make a decision. After you've researched and found something that works for you, make a plan. Create small goals, which will make it easier for you to keep track of your progress. You don't have to achieve your target in a hurry. Rome wasn't built in a day. Make the decision and commit to it. Consistency is key! Ultimately, the choice of what you do with your body is yours. Don't be afraid to explore your options, experiment, and adjust along the way. Listen to what your body says and what works for you, and you'll find the best plan for yourself. Remember, what works for someone else may not work for you, and that's okay. 3012 Everything is Temporary

Life is a mixture of blessings and challenges, joys and sorrows, strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures. One perspective that can help you navigate the ups and downs of life is the recognition that everything is temporary. This doesn't mean that everything is meaningless or random, but rather that everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Life is full of diverse experiences that can enrich or challenge you, but none of them last forever. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Even in the midst of something tragic, this too shall pass. YOU are not stuck in the posture of your situation permanently. Yes, in the moment, it can feel unbearable as if you are carrying your heart in your hands. But this too shall pass. The K.I.S.S. ~ Everything is temporary! When you stop to catch your breath in the moment, it forces your focus on what really matters; the essential and healthy stuff. But there is that temptation to cling too tightly to material possessions, status symbols, or unhealthy relationships. if that becomes the breath of your every day, you may suffer more than necessary when they are no longer; taken away or prove to be transient. By acknowledging that everything is temporary, we can appreciate what you have without depending on it for your happiness or identity. That, my friend, is freeing in so many ways! Further, your gratitude and joy for what God has given you are extremely valuable and meaningful. But even this falls short. However, because everything is temporary, one thing does not waver-- Your relationship and faith in God. As you face challenges, setbacks, or losses, you can remind yourself that they will not last forever. You can seek support, learn lessons, develop skills, and grow in character, knowing that these experiences are temporary but transformative. Yet, you can also trust in God's grace, power, and promises, knowing that His love endures forever, and His plans are for your well-being. So whether you're going through a rough patch or a great time, remember that everything is temporary. As the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18: 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. PRAYER: May you have the wisdom and courage to live your every day in a way that honors God and embraces the temporary nature of life. "Be present. Be incredible. 3011 Do Right By You

Have you ever felt like you were living someone else's life? Maybe you have followed an expected path, but now your dreams are stirring your soul. Do right by you! Maybe you have a passion that burns brighter than your paycheck, but you don't know how to pursue it without risking your financial security. Maybe you feel stuck in your 9 to 5 job, but you don't know how to break free from the golden handcuffs. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Many people have dreams beyond their comfort zones, but few actually pursue them. Why? Because we fear rejection, failure, or judgment from others. We feel trapped by our own self-doubt and the expectations of society, family, friends, church or community. However, as much as you may care about what others think of you, YOU ultimately have to live with yourself. You are the only one who can fulfill your potential, express your creativity, and contribute your unique talents and strengths so you can impact the world that you touch. YOU are the only one who knows what truly makes you happy, fulfilled, and successful. Therefore, if you want to live out your dreams, you have to do right by you! The K.I.S.S. ~ Do right by you! You have to prioritize your personal growth, your purpose, and your passions. You have to make time, space, and resources for them, even if it means sacrificing some of your comfort, security, or approval. But understand this...doing right by you doesn't mean doing wrong by others. On the contrary, doing right by you means becoming your selfie, the best version of yourself, which can inspire and empower others. Doing right by you means setting an example of self-care, self-love, and self-respect, which can benefit your relationships, your work, and your community. 3010 Who Daily Bears Our Burdens

Why is it that we attempt to do everything under our own authority? Take a step back. "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. But even in God's presence, our days can bring about burdens. However, the other side of that coin is that God's presence brings about blessings. 3009 Are You a Quiet Quitter?

When there are some tough times in marriage, running and hiding seem the easiest escape. But if you keep running, making up becomes challenging. Are you a quiet quitter? Your marriage is worth the fight. And that doesn't mean the yelling and screaming type of fight. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? You come home, and disagreements are on the rise. After a long day at work, who wants to face the crazy at home? All you want is calm and quiet. So that's where you go, to the calm and quiet. The less you confront the problem, the less you fight. The less you complain about not having things the way you want them, the less whining you hear from your spouse. The less you speak, the less you have to defend. This does not sound very appealing. But it is a survival skill when you want peace in the home. So how do you handle confrontations and disagreements? Are you one who pushes back and express openly? Or are you a quiet quitter who doesn't want to face any more disruptions to peace? Disagreements and confrontations are bound to happen if you are married for more than two weeks. And usually, it only takes 1-week max to have some mild fuss. No one wants to live that kind of life, let alone have that type of marriage. So how do stay clear of becoming a quiet quitter? You gotta be loud to be heard. The K.I.S.S. ~ Be L.O.U.D. to be heard! Now, I'm not condoning yelling and screaming here. This loud I'm referring to is a simple way to remember how you can impact your marriage by how you communicate. So how can you be L.O.U.D. to be heard? 1. L - Listen actively to your spouse's point of view. You have two ears for a reason. First off, if both spouses would listen more than they talk, then there would be fewer arguments because each person would be heard. But if neither have the opportunity to be heard, there's always a struggle. So a fight is inevitable. Don't live that life. Listen actively to your partner's point of view or perspective. 2. O - Open up and express your thoughts and feelings honestly. Nowadays, no one knows how to be honest with each other. Relationships are based on a circle with a cropped picture using filters, and stories that sound good overall. You can paint yourself however you want to appear to your spouse. Honesty is hard to come by from the beginning. So be different. Base your relationship on honesty so you can build trust over time. And be sure to include your thoughts and feelings as to what's happening. Brushing things under the rug just leads to bigger dust bunnies; they're called tumbleweeds. 3. U - Understand your spouse's perspective and take their feelings into consideration. If you want to be understood, then so does your sweetheart. Lean into what makes them tick. How they are feeling about circumstances. Communication goes both ways. 4. D - Demonstrate your love and commitment to the relationship through actions and compromises. Marriage is a two-way street, and if it's love, that means there are actions that reflect your love for your spouse. So let your heart shine! If you truly love someone, there are going to be compromises. Love is a verb. Keep your love alive by using actions to support your words. By being L.O.U.D. in this way, you can create open communication. That allows you as a couple to work together to build a stronger foundation for your marriage. PRAYER: May the struggles of life not collapse the love for your spouse. Take deep breaths, and remind yourself often of your spouse's beautiful heart. Life is not easy, but it can be joy-filled and wonderful as you continually build a strong foundation. And most of all, love your spouse, as Christ loves you! "Be present. Be incredible. 3008 Attention to Detail Matters

When we focus on the details of our children's lives, we can provide the backdrop to support them through their stages of development. Keep your eyes on the prize. Attention to detail matters. We cannot afford to leave any aspect of our children's growth unchecked or unmonitored. Attention to detail is especially important as children transition from one stage of life to another. Do you think their process of movement would be the same if you were not available for support? The way they would have gained their mobility skills would have been totally different. There might have been more bruises on the head from trying and falling down so many times. They might have actually crawled sooner. They might be less likely to cry so much when they didn't get their way. In today's fast-paced world, families often lead busy and hectic lives. But we must make time to support our youth, our next generation. It is essential to take notice of their lives, interests, and ambitions. Because if we neglect to pay attention, we could miss out on valuable moments that shape and impact our children's future. The question is, how do we balance this attention without becoming too overbearing? "We train our children based on our reactions and responses to their actions." ~ Kristianne Wargo So, to say the least, we have a significant impact on our children's lives. It is our responsibility to guide and nurture them to become the best version of themselves. Here are a few tips to help support your child's development without becoming overbearing: The K.I.S.S. ~ Guide and nuture your children! And in order to do that you first must be present. 1. Be present in the moment. When spending time with your child, put aside distractions, such as mobile phones or work. Engage with them, listen to what they have to say, and be interested in their lives. It is crucial to establish a strong emotional connection. Also, presence is not just about when you are with them. Know who they are hanging out with, the activities they are doing on their phone, and what's happening in their room when home. Don't assume that "nothing" is happening. As a parent, you are always aware and alert. 2. Encourage independence. Letting our children take the lead in their lives helps them to develop independence, responsibility, and decision-making skills. But in order for them to do so, it requires them to earn your trust. Before you start saying "yes" to everything, be sure they are climbing the trust ladder. And then, as the develop and become older, allow them to choose their interests, hobbies, and passions. Keep in mind, through all these stages, attention to detail matters. 3. Create a balance. It is essential to maintain a healthy balance between engaging with our children's lives and giving them space to grow independently. Overbearing or micromanaging behavior could lead to negative consequences such as stress or burnout. So as they continue to climb the trust ladder, then you can loosen the reigns over time. And if you need to tighten the reigns, then do so. 4. Celebrate their achievements. Show your children that you are proud of them and who they are becoming. Yes, you can celebrate their efforts, encourage them to continue with the things they enjoy, and challenge them to learn new skills. But success does not have to be met in order for a celebration to occur. Attention to detail matters when it comes to supporting the next generation. As parents, it is our responsibility to guide and nurture our children but not to act in an overbearing or controlling manner. Be present in their every day regardless of the age or stage of development. The goal here is to raise up children so they can go out and impact the world they touch in a positive and productive manner. Let's show our children how valuable they are and support them in achieving their dreams. PRAYER: May you pack your patience daily and keep your mom-dar (or dad-dar) always on alert. 3007 Shift from Exhausted to Energized

Often, we push ourselves to the brink of exhaustion while chasing our goals and dreams. We continuously grind, work, and hustle, only to find ourselves feeling completely drained. It's time to shift from exhausted to energized. 3006 How to Stay Relevant

Life is an ever-changing journey that requires constant adaptation to new challenges and circumstances. This is particularly true in healthy living. So as we age, it's important to learn how to stay relevant. Our bodies change, and what worked for us in the past might no longer be effective. For example, losing weight might have been easy when we were young and had a fast metabolism, but as we age, it becomes more difficult. For some, that's great because it develops habits that are somewhat beneficial. But they don't help facilitate the changes, therefore causing your body to become stuck and less responsive to what you defined as healthy living years ago, maybe even decades ago. As we age, it is vital to our health and well-being to adapt to our stages of life. No longer are you a toddler. Thank goodness! Yet your stages of life can help to streamline what you need to change to match what you are lacking in your healthy living today. So, how do you move from the frustration of thinking you got it together to finding better choices for today's healthy living? You gotta create a progressive path that continues to develop your health goals. The K.I.S.S. ~ Create a progressive path! Think about the progressive path as small strategic steps developing over time. EDUCATE -- First, it's important to acknowledge that what worked for you in the past might no longer be effective. Rather than feeling discouraged, embrace this as an opportunity to learn and grow. This is where you educate yourself. Look for reliable information about nutrition, sleep, and exercise. And then experiment with different approaches to find what works for your current situation. Consider science advancements. There might be something that's available now that wasn't ten years ago that might really make a difference for you. It could be medication, supplements, or various ways of eating or working out. It comes down to not guessing, but learning. So educate yourself. SUSTAIN -- It's easy to fall into the trap of crash diets or extreme exercise routines, but these are rarely sustainable in the long term. Instead, aim for small, incremental changes, based on what you've learned, the newest of the new, that you can realistically maintain over time. This might mean making healthier food choices or increasing your daily steps, rather than trying to overhaul your entire lifestyle overnight. Maybe it's getting a new mattress. Sleep affects your well-being. Don't leave any stone unturned. Learn so you can sustain. SUPPORT -- You've gotta have support. Making changes is always easier when you have a community to support you. This might be a group of friends who are also focused on improving their health, or it might be a professional such as a personal trainer or nutritionist. Having someone to hold you accountable and cheer you on can make all the difference. And keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a large group. It might be one or two or three people. But this is a special group where you feel extremely comfortable and safe, and can be blunt honest not just with them, but with yourself. BONUS -- don't forget to celebrate the little successes along the way. The little things do matter. 3005 Specialize in the Impossible

When life throws you a curveball, don't dwell on the negative. Instead, use it as an opportunity to become something better. You have the power to overcome adversity and specialize in the impossible. You might feel like giving up or that the world is against you. But what if every obstacle was an opportunity to become better? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Life is messy and unpredictable, but that doesn't mean you should give up on achieving your goals. Instead, focus on turning stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Think about it, throughout history, there have been countless individuals who have overcome adversity to achieve greatness. Take Oprah Winfrey, who overcame poverty, sexual abuse, and discrimination to become one of the most influential people on the planet. Or Stephen Hawking, who was diagnosed with a rare form of motor-neuron disease (ALS) in his early 20s and went on to become one of the most brilliant minds in modern physics. These people were able to specialize in the impossible by embracing their challenges, working hard, and never giving up. And remember, it's not about their level of success; just how they dealt with what they were handed in life. So today, don't make it about three decades from now. Start by setting small, achievable goals for yourself. Maybe it's learning a new skill, starting a new hobby, or reaching out to someone you've lost touch with.
