3096 How Do You Get Back Up?
Motivation isn't something that comes easy, nor is it something that is willed. When life pulls you down, how do you get back up? Because it's not the load that breaks you down; it's the way you carry it. How did you feel when you woke up this morning? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Or maybe you are in some struggles where you don't know how you feel or where you stand. There's a little bit of disconnect and frustration. A lot of life is lived in the latter. You're in this position of uncertainty, and more seems to be down than up. How do you get back up when all you're feeling is down? The K.I.S.S. ~ How do you get back up? Because it is SO frustrating. You want something different, but for whatever reason, you just exist. No matter what you do, there doesn't seem to be a way to get you to the other side. No saying can will you to do what just isn't happening. Being tired and not having enough energy is taxing on anyone. Being frustrated because you don't have the answer is challenging. Being so withdrawn, that you don't know if you're coming or going. When the heart isn't ready, the will can't push it. So is all hope lost? Of course not!! You have got to consider the season in which you're hanging out. You have to be real with yourself, or the result is that the reality you're in will hold you back. Genuine honesty with yourself is the best policy. Look to what you have that's going well for you. Don't smother your thoughts in what you haven't done lately. Pull up your big girl panties and get in the game of life. You are going to fall down. And the only what to overcome that is to get back up. There is no magic formula. There is no saying. There is your heart connected to a God who loves you, and regardless of your circumstances, He will carry you and be with you through your journey. The destination is not His concern, and neither should it be yours. It's your readiness to lean in more, to know Him more, to see the little blessings more, to have faith more, to glorify Him more, to love more, to forgive more, to live more. Yes, life is not easy, but the journey is definitely beautiful, especially when your perspective is from God. So whatever you face today, this too shall pass. Belief has a sound. Sometimes, the greatest challenges arise when we unknowingly embrace falsehoods, misbeliefs, or negative narratives. What does your belief sound like? These distorted beliefs can lead us astray, hindering our growth and hampering our progress toward a fulfilling life. Belief has a sound. This statement holds a profound truth - our thoughts and beliefs have a powerful impact on our lives. But it is equally important to consider the thoughts and beliefs we accept as truth in our lives. When we take what is a lie and make it our truth, we inadvertently subject ourselves to a barrage of problems and limitations. These falsehoods seep into the very fabric of our being and impact every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our personal endeavors. The consequences of harboring false beliefs can manifest as self-doubt, fear, stagnation, and a distorted perception of reality. One of the primary problems we face when we accept lies as truths is a loss of self-confidence and self-worth. Negative narratives can chip away at our sense of purpose and hinder our abilities to recognize and unleash our full potential. By internalizing false beliefs, we create self-imposed barriers that limit our capabilities and hinder our progress. Moreover, accepting falsehoods can also strain our relationships with others. When we believe negative narratives, it can lead to distrust, suspicion, and a distorted view of others' intentions. We may find it challenging to form deep and meaningful connections, as our preconceived notions and incorrect assumptions cloud our judgment, preventing us from seeing the true nature of those around us. Another problem that arises from embracing lies as truths is the hampering of personal growth and achievement. False beliefs can confine us to a mental prison, constraining our outlook and preventing us from seeking new opportunities or exploring our true passions. These limiting beliefs can keep us stuck in unhealthy patterns, preventing us from realizing our dreams and reaching our full potential. To overcome these problems and maximize our belief for a fulfilling life, it is crucial to practice discernment and self-reflection. We must challenge the beliefs we hold, critically examining whether they align with our values, aspirations, and personal growth. Surrounding ourselves with supportive communities and seeking guidance from mentors or trusted advisors can also help us gain perspective and uncover the truth. By embracing a growth mindset and fostering a sense of curiosity, we can dismantle falsehoods and replace them with empowering beliefs that propel us forward. The K.I.S.S. ~ Foster a sense of curiosity! If belief has a sound, how can we maximize your belief to keep you going? Here are three essential practices to solidify this principle in your everyday life, supported by insightful biblical quotes and stories. 1. Embrace Positive Affirmations Affirmations are powerful tools that can reinforce positive thoughts and beliefs. By consciously choosing uplifting words and phrases, we can redirect our minds towards a more optimistic outlook. The Bible echoes this concept in Romans 12:2, where it says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Replace negative self-talk with empowering affirmations like, "I am capable," "I am worthy," or "I am loved." These statements serve as a constant reminder of your abilities and worth, helping to solidify positive beliefs. 2. Surround Yourself with Supportive Communities Remember the story of David and Jonathan? Their deep friendship showed us the power of companionship and support. Just like David and Jonathan, we also need a community that uplifts and encourages us. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals who share similar beliefs and values can help reinforce and strengthen your own convictions. Seek out gatherings, groups, or religious communities that align with your beliefs. Together, you can deepen your faith and continually inspire each other to maximize your belief in yourself and your purpose. 3. Practice Gratitude Gratitude is a transformative practice that shifts our focus away from negativity and towards appreciation for the good in our lives. In Philippians 4:6, the Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Take time each day to list at least three things you are grateful for. Whether big or small, these moments of gratitude anchor your belief in the abundance and blessings that surround you, fostering a mindset of positivity and attracting more positive experiences. Remember, you are not the wizard behind the curtain. If belief has a sound, you have to know what you're hearing. So listen! Belief, when maximized, can lead us toward a fulfilling and purposeful life. But again, you have to do what you can do and then give the rest to God. 3094 Find Comfort in God's Hidden Presence
Who would think God would hide from us? We all have moments when we sense a distance from God. We can still find comfort in God's hidden presence. Despite our best efforts, it can feel like God is hiding Himself, which leaves us longing for His presence. However, God never leaves you nor forsakes you. Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Isaiah 45:15 - "Truly, you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel." But even if God is hiding from you, He is still your God and Savior. You know, God challenges our faith. Yet we still have to understand that He is still doing work on your behalf. You may feel a little distant, but that doesn't mean He's not moving mountains for you in the background. It might seem surprising to acknowledge that God hides Himself, but it is a reminder that His ways and methods are beyond our comprehension. In times of feeling distant from God, we may question His presence and wonder why He allows such periods of perceived absence. However, as we read here in Isaiah, it challenges us to have faith and trust in His sovereignty, even when we cannot fully grasp His ways. Just like the hidden God in Isaiah 45:15, we must learn to trust in God's unseen work during seasons of distance. Although we may not always perceive His presence, God is continuously at work in our lives, orchestrating events and molding us according to His plan. The K.I.S.S. ~ Find comfort in God's hidden presence! And that's another reason why we need to be in His Word. Because the Bible acts as a compass, guiding us closer to God, even when we feel distant. By diving into God's Word, you get to discover comfort, direction, and the assurance of His unfailing love. It's in those pages, that His Words speak comfort to us when we feel like we are playing hide and seek. I mean think about this, there are stories in the Bible of individuals who experienced God's hidden presence but were ultimately drawn nearer to Him. So during these times of perceived distance, prayer becomes a lifeline to connect with God. Pouring out your heart to Him, sharing your struggles, doubts, and desires, bringing Him into your present circumstances. Although God's response may not always be immediate or evident, our prayers serve as an avenue for that intimacy with Him. Now most people don't want to hear that God having His ringer turned off is normal for us here on earth. And it's not because of what God lacks, but what we lack. And that, my friend, is the greatest reminder why our faith must be stronger than any feelings. Because feelings are fleeting. But God's love for you is forever. So cling to His promises, seek Him diligently in His Word, pray, worship, and be grateful for the blessings you choose to see. As you navigate through these seasons where God appears to be hiding, may your faith be strengthened, and may you find hope, comfort, and unwavering trust in our risen Lord and Savior. God's got you! 3093 How Do You Nurture Hope in Marriage?
How do you nurture hope in marriage? You only succeed to the proportion you work at it. Despite whose fault is what, you can impact and preserve the flickering flames of hope. Navigating a marriage where one spouse seems less invested can be disheartening. It's a challenge! But it's important to know that you, as an individual, can still make an impact. And if you are willing and ready to take A.I.M., God will work on your spouse while you work on yourself. You see, that's the problem. Most people blame their spouses for the troubles in their marriage. Yet just as it takes two to tango, it takes two to get you where you are; good, bad, or ugly. So you genuinely want to nurture hope in your marriage, you have to be willing to look in the mirror. Because if not, you might as well turn off this episode and stop listening to me. You need to do your part in order to nurture hope in your marriage. So what can you do since you're in it to win it? The K.I.S.S. ~ Be in it to win it! You have gotta be in it to win it. You have got to be drivin' the boat, not just floating in the water. Because eventually, you'll sink otherwise. 1. Lead by Example When there are situations where one spouse appears less committed, it's crucial to lead by example and demonstrate the qualities you desire in your marriage. By doing so, it allows you to make a positive impact while still respecting your partner's journey. a. Communicate with compassion: Enhance your communication skills by expressing your hopes, concerns, and desires with love and empathy. Show your commitment by listening actively. Respond thoughtfully to your spouse's needs. b. Foster personal growth: Focus on your own personal growth and development. By becoming the best version of yourself, you not only increase your confidence but also inspire your partner to embark on their own journey of self-improvement. c. Show love and kindness: Even in the face of challenges, continue to demonstrate love, kindness, and gratitude. Small gestures, acts of service, and affectionate moments can reignite a spark and remind your partner of the beauty and potential of your relationship. 2. Seek Professional Support When faced with a seemingly imbalanced level of commitment, seeking professional help can be a transformative step. A marriage counselor or therapist can provide guidance, tools, and strategies to navigate the challenges you may be facing. If you're in the water, you need to know how to get back in the boat. a. Encourage the idea of counseling: Approach the subject of counseling with sensitivity and grace. Express your willingness to make a positive change and emphasize the potential benefits that professional guidance can bring to both individuals and the relationship. b. Attend counseling sessions individually: If your spouse remains hesitant to attend joint sessions, consider going for individual counseling to address your struggles, gain clarity, and develop strategies for coping with the situation. Individual growth can often spur positive change within the marriage. c. Explore books and resources: Supplement professional counseling by reading books, listening to podcasts, or participating in online programs that focus on personal and relationship development. Share what you learn with your partner, creating opportunities for open and meaningful discussions. 3. Prioritize Self-Care When faced with a challenging marriage dynamic, it's important to prioritize self-care as a means of maintaining your own emotional and mental well-being. Taking care of yourself helps you approach the relationship with a calmer mindset and a renewed sense of hope. a. Practice self-reflection and self-awareness: Regularly take time to reflect on your own feelings and emotions. Understand your own needs, triggers, and boundaries, as well as what you are willing to work through to preserve your marriage. b. Whether it's exercise, meditation, journaling, or spending time with friends, these activities will nurture your emotional well-being and provide you with the necessary strength to navigate challenges. c. Set healthy boundaries: Establish and communicate healthy boundaries within the relationship. This will help protect your emotional well-being while fostering an environment for open communication and mutual respect. Inspiration and Hope While it may be challenging, remember that all hope is not lost. Many couples have experienced seasons where one partner was less invested initially, only to witness remarkable transformations in the future. When summer arrives, and you are in the middle of all the chaos, parenting seems to go out the window. Survival mode kicks into overdrive. Yet, you can find joy in imperfect summers; why bad looks good. Let's be real! We, as parents, often find ourselves wrestling with mixed feelings. It's easy to label these moments as "bad," but what if we shift our perspective. Come on! Let's look at these things a little differently. Then we have the opportunity to discover, that even in the chaos and unpredictability, there is an abundance of goodness. Right now, I want you to imagine that your summer is full of possibilities and potential. Embrace Spontaneity Summer often disrupts our usual routines and schedules, and this can initially feel unsettling. However, instead of trying to control every moment, embrace the beauty of spontaneity. Allow yourself and your children to experience the joy of unexpected adventures, spontaneous playdates, and impromptu outings. These moments create lasting memories that cannot be replicated in a structured environment. Remember, it is in the moments of unplanned happiness that the best memories are made. Also, if you like teachable moments. Technically, you're teaching flexibility. Plus, you're getting to flex those muscles yourself. We all could use a little muscle memory, too. 2. Find Beauty in Simplicity Without the demands of school, summer offers a unique opportunity to slow down and savor the simple pleasures of life. Take time to enjoy lazy afternoons at the park, family picnics, or beach outings. Embrace the simplicity of children's laughter, melting ice cream, and warm summer breezes. Often, the most treasured moments are found in the simplest of experiences. 3. Cultivate a Grateful Heart Gratitude is a powerful tool for shifting our perspective from negative to positive. Instead of focusing on what feels overwhelming or challenging, choose to focus on the blessings that come with the summer season. Practice gratitude for the extra time you get to spend with your children, the opportunity to explore new places, and the chance to create beautiful memories together. Gratitude has the power to transform our mindset and help us see the goodness even in the midst of what may seem "bad." As parents, we often strive for perfection in our efforts to create an ideal summer experience for our children. Yet, it is important to remember that perfection is an illusion. 3091 Remember the Lessons
Our past is woven with both triumphs and failures, most of which we display the negative tapestry in our minds. Instead of getting caught up in what was bad, look to the good; remember the lessons. It's easy to get lost in the regrets, disappointments, and mistakes that have dotted our journey. But what if erasing those mistakes meant erasing the invaluable wisdom and growth we've acquired along the way? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? With unwavering focus and a burning desire to create a new nation, they put pen to paper to craft the Declaration of Independence, forever changing the course of history. When the founding fathers penned the Declaration of Independence, they made a bold declaration, asserting their determination to break free from the chains of oppression. Their conviction and courage remind us of the importance of clarifying our own goals and aspirations. Just like them, declare your independence from self-limiting beliefs, distractions, and doubts. By declaring your intentions, you set yourself on a path to success. The K.I.S.S. ~ Declare your independence! Similarly, you must remain steadfast in your commitment to your dreams, embracing the inevitable ups and downs that come with it. 3087 Are You Waiting for God to Go First?
One way to define faith is by your actions or lack thereof. God guides you to positions, places, and possibilities. But it's up to you to take the first step. Are you waiting for God to go first? In our journey of faith, we often find ourselves waiting for God to make the first move. We look to Him for guidance, direction, and miraculous interventions. Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co But you must be willing to step out in faith, even when you cannot see the outcome. So take a deep breath. I want you to explore the concept of walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), and how taking the first step can lead to extraordinary possibilities. Paul is writing to the Corinthians, specifically addressing the believers in the city of Corinth. This verse is part of a larger letter that Paul wrote to the Corinthian church to address various issues and encourage them in their faith. Preaching the truth of Christ to the world has brought Paul and his co-workers great suffering, yet they persist and persevere in contending for the faith. They refuse to give up, living with unwavering courage because they firmly believe in the resurrection of Christ. They eagerly anticipate receiving glorified, eternal bodies that will free them from all earthly burdens and striving. As Paul eloquently expresses in 2 Corinthians 5:7, they walk, or rather live or make a habit, by faith and not by what they see. In other words, their unshakable belief in the gospel, including their own resurrection and eternal fulfillment, that they too will be raised up, allows them to see beyond the present struggles. They may experience death, pain, suffering, adversity, opposition, and challenges, but they consider the unseen, yet promised, blessings awaiting them with Christ as more real than any temporary hardship in the present moment. The K.I.S.S. ~ Are you waiting for God to go first? Because you are called by God to walk by faith. Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of the importance of walking by faith. This verse encourages you to trust in God's plan, even when it doesn't appear logical or feasible. Just like Peter walked on water when Jesus called him to step out of the boat (Matthew 14:28-31), you too are called to trust and obey, even in the face of uncertainty. And remember, God guides, you decide. While God goes before you, leading you to positions, places, and possibilities, He also desires for you to participate actively in your faith journey. He wants you to step out in faith, even before you see the outcome. Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths." By acknowledging God and following His guidance, you open yourself up to incredible opportunities and blessings. Of course, you've got to step out in faith. Just as Peter experienced the freedom of walking on water once he took that first step, you too can experience the freedom and abundance that comes from walking by faith. When you decide to trust God and act in obedience, you tap into His strength (supernatural power and provision). It may not always be easy, and you will face challenges along the way, but by taking that leap of faith, you open yourself up to an extraordinary life of purpose and fulfillment. Don't wait for God to make the first move. Instead, choose to step out in faith and trust in His guidance. Remember that faith is not merely a belief system, but rather a transformative experience that requires action. Just like Peter, walking on water requires stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing the unknown. Allow God to go before you, but be willing to cut in line and take that first step. As you walk by faith, not by sight, you'll discover the incredible possibilities that lie ahead. PRAYER: God doesn't want you to be a shadow. He wants you to step out in faith. God wants you to lead as He guides you so you can impact the world that you touch. May God continue to open the doors as you stay ready and willing to walk by faith, not by sight. "Be present.
