It was shut down by the US government and the creator of the site was sentenced to double-life without parole for non-violent crimes. Regardless of what you think of the site Ross Ulbricht built, there’s something wrong with our justice system when this kind of sentence was applied. Today, we welcome Ross’s mother, Lyn Ulbricht, to the show to discuss her attempts to get Ross’ plight in front of the President. She’s joined by her friend and attorney, Sasha Hodder. We explore the history of Silk Road, the case which led to Ross’s imprisonment and how Lyn is working to get him freed. Just when it looked like things might be going bullish, the fed raised interest rates again. The stock market took a big plunge and the crypto markets went right along with it. Roger Ver is considering opening a crypto exchange. Binance will be donating their listing fees to charity. And IBM is ready to put food on the blockchain. Crypto is like a rollercoaster.
