It was May 17th, 2010, and Laszlo Hanyecz went down in history by becoming the first person to buy goods with Bitcoin. His now infamous purchase of two Papa Johns’ pizzas for 10,000 BTC has led to countless jokes about how much those Bitcoins would be worth today. But buying pizza with Bitcoin demonstrated that the new cryptocurrency truly was something that anyone can use. And that hasn’t changed at all. We’ve been big fans of the Trezor and Ledger wallets, but some new technologies are creating opportunities for digital wallets to become even safer. Evercoin now claims to be the safest cryptocurrency wallet and exchange. Evercoin co-founders Miko Matsumura and Talip Ozturk join us today to discuss their latest update and how their integration with the Yubikey make their wallet the safest one available. Tom Lee says Bitcoin must hit $150,000 before ETFs can work. And if that happens, Millennials may be set to be the wealthiest generation yet.  That is, if massive debt doesn’t get them first. Today we’ll take a look at the percent of world debt by country, and we’ll examine how the Federal Reserve or any central bank “prints money” by adding credit to banks’ deposits, lowering the Fed funds rate target, and using large-scale open market operations. Crypto price sentiment seems to turn on a dime. After seeing Bitcoin approach $10,000 we find ourselves once again in the $8700 zone. Some are bullish and some are bearish. And some people say Bitcoin isn’t even real. Samsung, Safeway and Alibaba enter the blockchain fray, China is spending billions on blockchain development and there’s a rumor going round that Satoshi donated 50 BTC to Grin. And move over Pokemon Go. There’s a new app that lets you find crypto in the wild using augmented reality.
