E61: My life in Islamic Finance - law firm partner Mohammed Paracha
Many moons ago, in typical Ibrahim fashion, he randomly reached out to a bunch of top lawyers asking for work experience. Those of you in the industry will know that law firms don't take people like this, they have formal applications. But one man responded and gave Ibrahim his first taste of law - and that man is Mohammed Paracha!
Mohammed is a distinguished lawyer, partner at the global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright. He is based in Dubai and heads up NRF's Islamic Finance practice for the Middle East and Africa.
In this episode, Ibrahim goes on Mohammed's journey with him. Listen on for a fascinating insight!

E60: we analyse the Latin Honey Shop
In this episode, we're talking through another business as part of our Business Agony Aunts series. This week, it's latinhoneyshop.com - a great website selling high-quality honey.
We analyse and run through some really easy changes that they could implement in order to become more profitable. Ibrahim also amusingly confuses Baber Ahmed for Babar Azam the Pakistan cricketer- for which he apologises! Want us to take a look at your business? Drop us an email!

E58: Thought Experiment - plonked in London with £5
This episode felt like a throwback to our uni days! We had the rare pleasure of being in the same room whilst recording a podcast and so we conducted a thought experiment like we used to back in the day. More particularly, a thought experiment on how would we approach being plonked in London with £5 to our name.
What would the path to success look like?
Get in touch with your thoughts, we may do a follow up if we get enough!

Check out this talk by Ibrahim at the Islamic Finance & Ethics Society. He goes into detail about why the old-school Islamic Finance of big-ticket corporate stuff is not what we need to focus on - and why we at IFG are all about Islamic Finance from the grassroots level.

E56: NEW SERIES: BUSINESS AGONY AUNTS - this week we're analysing Halwa shops
We're launching a new series of podcasts (switching to 2 a week, with the second one being this new series). It's called Business Agony Aunts (the aunts being Ibrahim & Mohsin...).
Each week the plan is that we look at a particular business or industry and analyse it - thinking about how it can scale in the modern era.
We had fun chatting about halwa shops and how they might achieve that. Hopefully we can all pick up something that we can translate into our own businesses and lives.
Because this is such a new format please do take the time to email us to let us know what you think! Any feedback or critiques are greatly welcomed.
